Clown Prince is right, though. It's not a trilogy anymore, and never even really was as the original 3 were all basically stand alone films with very little continuity.

Still a better trifecta overall, though. :lecture

:p

Sure they are. They're just "trilogies plus some other ****."

Nah, it's like calling Rocky a trilogy just because the first 3 are your favorites :lol If that's the case, anything can count as a trilogy as long as you like it. That's anarchy! :panic:

How about that Terminator "trilogy"? The first two films are pretty great.

:lol

Those are very fair, rational scores, actually.

True, and if Zack probably WAS posting it'd look more like:

TFA: -100
TWS: -1000
CW: -100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Considering he was Mr. "If we're not careful one day we'll end up with a Captain America movie." :duh :slap

Nah, he actually digs these movies and loves Chris Evans' Cap.

Timelessness + perfection + subject matter = Favorite :yess:

Jaws and Raiders nail the first two, but other films (The Winter Soldier, the original Star Wars) edge them out due to me not loving Indy and sharks as much as Han and Cap.

ESB and FOTR nail *all three.* :rock

I take Raiders over any Capt movie for now, but mostly because of nostalgia and because Capt is relatively new, so Indy feels more like a true Hollywood "classic." In 10 or 15 years, I might see the Capt trilogy as a "classic" too.

I love these discussions. Our Millennial friends are probably baffled. :lol

:hi5:

Yeah it was funny watching them all go quiet a little while ago when we were all having that discussion with JAWS about obscure 70's/80's movies and also how films like JAWS, Close Encounters, Poltergeist, etc., really captured that era of time on film. :lol

Old Dudes Unite! :yess:

(Edit: I would high-five again, but don't wanna push it and hurt myself :lol )
