I'm definitely not expecting a historically accurate period piece here, but a bit of action escapism set in a fantastical comic book version of WWII. I don't want to see strictly accurate subs and airplanes, I want to see imaginative designs from people who thought, "Wouldn't it be cool if it looked like this..."
What surprises me is the fact that this movie seems to have a little bit of heart, characters we will enjoy watching, and the time to tell an actual story without taking itself too seriously. In that regards, it reminds me of the first Iron Man. I think this is going to be a great, fun trip to the movies.
