I'm hoping to get to go on Friday, but I have to go out of town, so it'll be a question of timing. I'm stoked to see it. I really hope it overcomes some of the things that I'm currently disappointed about.

is it just me or is his costume a little modernized?....

Everything looks modernized.

Yeah... I don't mind the CA costume so much, but Hydra is very modern/futuristic. Which is disappointing.

I actually think Cap himself looks cool, and the uniforms of the Howling Commandos and Red Skull's head. It's everything else that looks way too advanced and overdone.

It's almost as if they were afraid to make this flagship film a true period piece. So they set it during WWII, but many of the aesthetics are as advanced (or more) as anything in the modern Marvel films. It frustrates and annoys me greatly, but it is what it is.

The more I'm seeing the more I think this could be better than a just ok movie. I am pretty optimistic. I'm just hoping it has a decent opening weekend because I think it will deserve it.

Rumors, speculation and hopes that Marvel Studios will continue their end credits scene trend when Captain America hits theaters this week has come to fruition. Though the first domestic press screening of the film did not contain the first teaser trailer for The Avengers, theatrical releases will. Several US military installations were privileged to host advanced screenings of The First Avenger film today, and many were pleasantly surprised to find over a minute of action-packed Avengers footage playing after the credits rolled.

There's no word yet from either Marvel Studios or Paramount Pictures whether the teaser screened today is exactly the same as the one which will begin playing in theaters this Thursday.

Not even the Batman teaser trailer gave me palpatations like this story just did.

That would totally get people excited for the Avengers movie if there is an actual full minute and a half of IM and the gang on screen getting ready to kick ass!

And here I was thinking that it would just be Cap and Fury talking
