Wayne being a genius doesn't mean Steve is just dumb, cuz he aint.

In fact, in some incarnations, the super-soldier serum was supposed to enhance Cap's intelligence as well - hence him being a strategic mastermind. This, of course, was completely left out of the new movie.

Regardless, in DC continuity, Bats is 2nd only to Luther in intelligence and strategy, whereas in Marvel continuity, Cap is 2nd to many. Hence, Wayne wins, hands down.

We all know it would always depend on who writes it & who approves what, why not just a popularity contest?

DC sections does their prelims while Marvel does as well then pitted against each other in the end.

I don't buy this "5 steps ahead" bs. Ok the 2 are going to fight so we'll let Batman have the time plan the fight out so he can learn everything he needs to know about Cap in order for Batman to win. While this is happening we'll let Cap sit there with his thumb up his butt wondering what's keeping Batman?
Yes Batman is the man with the plan but you don't think Cap can come up with a plan as well (given the time)? Batman is able to take out Metas or Supers because most of the time he knows what he's dealing with and yes I know he can think on his feet becasue of his training, mind set and drive. So can Cap, he taken out whole Shield teams. Also just because Cap was around is the 40s when many of the fighting arts were unknown to the western world doesn't mean he hasn't master them now. Marvel Encyclopedia has him ranked as one of the top fighters in the Marvel U, just like Bats "master" of all forms of fighting. I love Bats just as much as the next guy but some of you are crazy to underscore Cap, the guys a real badass. And as faster and strong as Batman is Cap is a least 4X that. So think about how strong or fast you are, then think about getting hit in the face 4X that. Cap comes out on top.

I think Capt is better suited against Black Panther. Capt got serum and Black Panther got herb. But then again, Black Panther's father already beat Capt when he was going after nazi.

He beat Cap when Cap was still a cherry, I don't think the fight would have the same out come it happened now. If I remember right I think Panther took out the FF by himself as well. It's all about story telling and plots.

Black Panther, the previous, beat him fair with his serum and at the same time line. And yes he did beat FF but one by one. I don't know about all 4 as I don't read into FF4 much.

The point is, I don't think its totally fair with Batman vs Capt. Only way its fair is for Batman to take the serum too and they both duke it out in their underwear, LOL.

I feel alot of the times, Batman just lucks out. Thats what I like about Capt, he is still susceptible to defeat, even at his best. I understand Batman is a genius, yadda, yadda, yadda, but I feel his "power" relies too much on deus ex machinas that come out nowhere sometimes. Capt has a shield, most of the time it works, sometimes it doesn't. (Fear Itself, Infinity Gauntlet, etc)
