Sorry my white male christian conservative friends but what a freaking spectacular entry for the MCU!

Definately in my top 10 MCU movies.

I went in spoiler free and was blown away by all the twists and turns.

I was NEVER bored!

Brie IS CM for me now.

I am in total shock right now!

Good to hear. I hope I enjoy it just as much.

However we have not been seeing eye to eye lately with the big movies. :( :lol

The RT audience score is at 63%

You can't see it on RT yet as it hasn't been 'unveiled,' but you can go on flixster which is the same thing and see the uncovered score, they both reference the same system (it's even called the tomatometer with the same icons)

So what's everyone's predictions for this movie with regard to its RottenTomato score and how much it'll bring in this weekend?

Honestly I still think it should open about $100. The question is how will it do in coming weeks. Will it have legs or pull a Solo?

I voluntarily watched a Grace video on youtube - the one titled Captain Marvel controversy - feminist breakdown. She was quite balanced on the topic. There was some spoilers in it but I think I've already forgotten them so I should be safe.

I don't know why she gets a bad rep around here. I think she puts out some quality, insightful content.

Yeah, it gets a bit mean at times. For my part I was always far more irritated by Jeremy Jahns. His videos should carry a cautionary warning for epileptics.

Yeah, he's a bit self-aggrandizing. Plus, i can't stand the edit cuts in between each line type of YouTube videos. Do they do several takes of their quips and edit out the bad takes? I know it's a silly thing to nitpick at but for some odd reason, it infuriates me.

Grace on the other hand doesn't show boat with any cheap gimmicks/frills. She's straight to the point, balanced, doesn't pander to a specific cause or demographic and it's done on one take for the most part as I don't recall seeing edit cuts in her videos.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about - the cuts, it's ridiculous. I feel like I'm going to have a seizure being bombarded with all those edits. Sorta like the toy reviewers who insist on having their hands flailing about in front of the camera.

Saw it tonight and thought the movie was ok. Not really feeling Brie Larsens acting. Kinda stiff and wooden

I was so bummed out thinking why now Marvel why the movie a month before AEG do you go and make your first real dud.

It’s not even close to being a dud.

I was surprised how much I loved the pacing and connected with the core mystery surrounding her origin.

For me better than BP, AM 1 and 2, TIH, IM2, IM3, Thor 1 and 2.

I need to see it again to see how I compare it to Thor 3.

Her final look when all lit up was really bad ass especially the heat distortion around her just wow.

Oh and the sound design was freaking spectacular especially the rumble from the vehicle rockets.

And of course there’s such a thing as reverse racism and oppression from either extreme side is a real thing and can only lead to harm and destruction to those being oppressed but do yourself a favor ignore her personal opinions on white male movie critics (I mean seriously critics lol), clear your mind relax and watch.

I pretty much agree with this sentiment. Makes me even more annoyed at the politics surrounding the film. It's not getting the fair shot it deserves.

I still can’t believe I walked away with only ONE thing that bothered me lol

Usually within the same movie i’ll have a problem with plot, pacing, action, score, acting, cgi, 3rd act ending etc but not this time.

This movie was weird maybe because my expectations were rock bottom but I quite enjoyed the aesthetics it felt unique and different than the other MCU movies. I liked that 90’s baked in look. Also some of the humor was really well done.

I also didn’t expect a plot with twists I thought it was going to be more straight forward.

I’m just hoping someone here can convince me why that one thing is not a problem lol abd it’s not the “naming” part which is another thing I was surprised that didn’t bother me.
