See now you’re just being childish lol

She sold me JAWS what can I say I enjoyed her portrayal the attitude and pace she created for herself.

However with that being said HELL NO I won’t accept a single savior it must be a group effort and thankfully the Russo’s/Feige already confirmed that will be the case.

It was a serious question in the sense that I hope it was good enough that one might be ok with her saving the MCU. Despite her comments basically :)

My biggest concern is that I get an underpowered professor Hulk the whole movie and we never get a true Hulk moment that show off his strength.

This movie was ok, it's easily Marvel's least interesting origin story and probably the first MCU film I don't rewatch. I think the woodenness to Larson was by design considering where the story goes but I just felt it was bad design. My girlfriend actually liked less than I did and she's a big time MCU fan. I really hope she's not a trump card against Thanos considering I don't feel she's really earned that right as a character, she honestly doesn't feel like she's any strong than Thor at the end of Infinity war so at best I hope she just helps with the fight, not end it.

I have full faith in Marvel to not make her a Superman because that’s not in Marvel’s DNA.

Like everyone already knows a perfectly over powered superhero is boring.

I really truly believe they are setting her up as this powerful hero just to be immediately torn down in AEG as a way to show off the threat level of the antagonist in AEG.

Put it this way her powers can be nullified to increase the stakes.

Decent flick.

I’m a little bummed with the change up of the Skrulls. Its interesting they completely removed the potential of “anyone could be a Skrull!” out of the MCU. I guess they just didn’t want to convolute things. And i guess who could they say has been a Skrull this whole time anyway. So whatever.

The inclusion of the tesseract felt a little wonky. I had to do some mental gymnastics to figure out how it got there. I guess Howard Stark found it. Worked on it. Couldn’t do anything with it then gave it up to Mar-Vell. I dunno. I feel like that could be fleshed out a little better.

Not a big deal of a film. A decent side story on the way to Endgame. Nothing made me think Thanos should be ******** his pants though. If he bodied Hulk and Thor. CM should be about the same

I feel like CM will be to Endgame what vision was to Age of Ultron. A really big help but not the soul savior.

Right when I thought I had AEG figured out with the
Skrulls being some Avengers Marvel comes and throws us a curve ball and you know what I like that. I also liked the power source being the tesserect it makes perfect sense why it would be but yeah threw me off guard for a minute if that’s what you meant by wonky lol.

Marvel Select got the Captain Marvel figure perfect. That head sculpt is perfect. Spot On Brie Larson! :monkey3

I feel they made the right move. It would have made Endgame a little too complicated i think. They’re already balancing complicated stories and characters arcs then all of a sudden you throw in the “whos a Skrull?!” **** and the movie would get unfocused. Marvel knows what they’re doing. They can save the Skrull stuff for another time anyway, just have a splinter group of meanie Skrulls.

You gonna be ok with CM saving the MCU in endgame?

Funny thing... I didn’t care about her being the most powerful mcu character and beating Thanos before she started with the sjw crap.

Now it’s like I just don’t want Brie Larson getting that honor :lol

See I have no problem with strong women. Just ones that lecture me on sjw garbage :lol

Did Captain Marvel do all that? ;)

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

The reviews here seem split down the middle.

I guess that's good because I don't know what to expect but have low expectations for my Saturday viewing.

I think one needs to simply check preconceptions at the door and judge it as a popcorn movie and nothing more. It seems many are going in looking for any/all reasons to pick it apart due to their dislike for Larson. She's probably somewhat deserving of their ire but not the film itself. It's not the best MCU film ever made but it's certainly nowhere close to being the worst either. And based on the actual plot, I daresay that Larson does a pretty good job with the character.
