lmao JYE! Now that pic is a keeper hahaha

I'll watch CM just cause I love all these comic flicks. Really don't care what any of these actors opinions are politically, but I do think it's lame that they use jobs to make sure we hear those opinions. Such a turn off and not sure what Brie is trying to accomplish with her comments aside from alienating her audience.

They seemed to be playing the "you're a sexist if you don't like her" card even before this review mess began.

Back when there was a huge uproar over comments that she didn't smile enough in the trailer. I get that telling girls to smile more is an established trope, however feeling that the main character is not charismatic or likeable enough is a completely valid criticism for a movie that shouldn't have just been written off as sexism.

Seems like Marvel is desperate for this movie to be a huge hit. My guess is that it is because CM is a huge part of the plot of Endgame and the defeat of Thanos. If this movie gets a bad reception, it automatically cuts the legs out from Endgame. Probably a good lesson on why its a bad idea to have the grand finale of a 10 year, 20 movie franchise hang on the lynchpin of a controversial character with a comics history that is mixed at best and has no established on screen history.

Maybe Tom did do a Tap and run! It would explain why she hates white men!

Well said. In general I don’t personally subscribe to boycotting things, movies included. I probably don’t align politically with very many actors, but that’s never bothered me. I just like movies too much. If I tried to avoid every movie that featured an actor that disagreed with me, I’d just make myself miserable.

That said, there is a difference between having differing beliefs in your personal life and espousing them in a belligerent way while you’re supposed to be doing press for a movie.

I’ll probably still go see the movie, but I can see why a lot of people are put off by that.

I wouldn’t want Disney to punish her in any way. Unlike SJW’s I believe in free speech. I think the more She runs off at the mouth the more she shows what a sexist, racist, hateful and truly unlikable person she really is. The public will decide her fate with their wallets and pocket books.

As annoying as her comments were, they do not warrant punishment from Disney in her case. However, there are times where someone can say something extremely vile (especially on social media) and being fired is warranted. The first amendment doesn't protect you from being punished by private companies like Disney - it protects you from the government punishing you.

She's free to say what she wants but she isn't free from public scorn. And if that leads to "punishment" from Disney because of poor turnout . . . . . then free-market capitalism won.

I'm capable of seeing your post at the bottom of the last page. You don't need to make sure it's at the top of the next page as well.

? Not sure what your talking about man, I have no control over where my post lands?

I am also desperately trying to understand what is driving some folks to get so riled up on stuff thats been going on in film for , well, forever?

People say we live in the “Age of Outrage” and I am trying to see if I am missing something ......should I be outraged as well? If not , why am I not that angry?

But more importantly, what exactly is all the fuss about and is there a real pattern to it, or is it a case by case basis?

Often when people espouse how mad they are about something, they end up hypocritical because they give a pass on other similar situations.

I am always interested in human psychology, and this is no exception.

Desperately trying to understand? Desperately? Don't hurt yourself over there.

How 'bout yourself? Why are you so riled up about some criticism over Brie's comments? Move on.
