I think it's also because his whole face is fuller now than when he was a young man. So given that they're de-aging the older SLJ, the proportions aren't going to look the same as his younger self.

Also EW could be partly to blame. Their cover work has a history of sucking...

You could be right, they didn't seem to account for age-weight in the face. As I've gotten older my puppy fat has come back somewhat..of course its not called puppy fat anymore.

I love you Jimmy, but don't fall for the first tweet.

Agree, his second tweet is sweet.

If that Captain Mabel account is a troll account (started by....an anti-SJW?) I don't see what it achieves, certainly nothing productive.

You bunch of nerds arguing over a CGI Jackson. Why does Nick Fury need to look like SLJ from the 90's anyway? They're technically two different people.

Now if you all excuse me, I'm going to go play with new Mafex Spiderman like a normal 21 century male adult.

Yup. Plus he's shilling for Alita, which I'll gladly take :lol

There's always trolls on every side of the fence unfortunately. The only thing it accomplishes is stroking their own ego, there's not much to think about there. Though it's getting hard to tell who the trolls are since folks' behavior is becoming so ridiculous

It made me laugh.
Also what does that say about SJWs, if you can't tell the difference between a SJW and a parody account?

Boys boys boys....

If we protest by skipping every film that one of the principals has done or said something stupid (or outright criminal) you would have to boycott MANY films.....

Polanski
Jeff Jones: Beetlejuice, Ferris Bueller
Tom Sizemore : Heat, Saving Private Ryan...
James Gunn

I could go on, I just hope you guys are boycotting these films as well for the actual CRIMES the principals committed rather then for just their opinions?

All those people you mentioned faced repercussions for their actions.

So, it’s only fair that Ms. Larson catch some crap for her dumb statement’s.

The hairline seems unnaturally low on the cgi Jackson, he had more forehead when he worked in the 90’s.

I wondered was it just me who thought that...

They could just watch Jurassic Park (1993) or perhaps a little film called Pulp Fiction (1994) to see what SLJ looked like in the 90's. But maybe no one saw those old movies.

I already have my tickets for an evening showing on March 6. Pretty excited to see this despite the controversy surrounding the film at the moment. I plan to judge the film on its merit rather than the ideologies/politics behind it. If it's good, I'll enjoy it. If not, at least the tickets I bought were for a charity fund-raiser (for a hospital) so some of the money goes to good. :)
