For anyone thats interested the bare sculpt from Trevor Grove

That's awesome!

"sculpted in wax," wow, would've never guessed... Sculpting in wax sounds like a major pain in the arse, if you mess up I guess you sort of have to start all over again... And if you live somewhere where it's very warm.... "Oh no! It melted..." :lol

I can't believe how incredible all of Trevor's work is... How does he keep getting likenesses so spot on you'd swear they shrunk a life-cast?

He must have started sculpting at age 2 or something....

Trevor's more than capable of choosing the proper format to sculpt in. :lol

Wow:horror This looks awesome...but man that price tag is kinda steep :thud:

If this is $125 clams, I can't imagine what they are gonna be charging for a fully furred Chewie :gah:

Lotsa sculptors sculpt in wax. Hasbro has a designer's work table set up in their booth at SDCC where they give demonstrations periodically throughout the day with the sculptors sculpting in wax. I hear its a pretty common medium...

He's easily $35 more awesome than a Stormtrooper/Clone Trooper. Kama, Pauldron, extra head, jetpack, dual pistols, etc. The extra noggin alone would justify the increase.

But if it was a hot toys figure, lookout wow their just too much. But since SS is making it it's alright. Totally justified.

Please don't start something over a difference of opinion. This figure is great! I could see him on a shelf next to general Obi Wan, Anakin, and Asaj Ventress!

He is loaded with gear but that's still Vader expensive. Well, at least there is some value added here...not like the DCD 13" figs that skyrocketed in price and gave you nothing more to show for it :ohbfrank:

I think $125 is right on. Sure I would like him to be $100 but its not so lets move along.
Also he will be at least $10 cheaper elsewhere.

Well, relative to what we know is coming down the pipe (chewie, droids, etc) this sets precedence. That's all I'm saying...so hold on to your wallets :panic:

SSC is about to open up a can of figure awesome :horse

I have a hunch this is going to cost less than people are expecting, maybe not a lot, but I feel like we'll be surprised, in a good way, by the final price tag.

My first Star Wars purchase and PPO in a while. Feels good. Rex is the only part of the new CW series I'm willing to acknowledge.

I really want to be excited about the PPO, but... I just can't. Those stands are just awful, awful Exclusives. IMHO, they actually make the figure less attractive/valuable than the standard SW stands (which they don't come with as well). I don't get it. :dunno
