How can rooms be selling out so fast when I walked into two places last year and was no problem with availability for Saturday night? Probably just blocks, right?

That's my guess. Hell, last year I bought my ticket at the last possible minute for mail delivery and saw that rooms at the Rosen were available even then. Hopefully regular rooms come up. We'll find something in the meantime.

Yeah, makes you wonder if people were gunning for the Rosen, so they pulled it down and cycled some other hotels up in it's place.

Already booked my room at the Hilton Convention Center, and bought my tickets.

Wife and I are trying to figure out if we can go.. I think we'll be able to make it, though.

I'll be going, just ordered the tickets. Gonna plan to be in Orlando for a few days before and after CVI for touristy stuff. Plus, Orlando's only a 6 hour drive from here so I'll have my ride for alcohol and snack trips.

I went to CV, I'll probably go to VI considering it's in Orlando. I think it's too early to get excited yet. From what I remember, I didn't buy tickets until late in the game for CV and I'll probably do the same for this. I regret not bringing along my little brother to Orlando so now I have a chance to make up for it next year.

Definitely not going to bother with exclusives those days, I learned my lesson at CV.

I think you guys are right that the discounted block at the Rosen has sold through but that they'll have more rooms at some point. Only cruddy thing is that the rooms will most certainly cost more later on down the line if purchased directly from the hotel or Expedia or whatever. No way anyone is touching $109. Hopefully the official site will put another block of Rosen rooms up for my Freaks brethren!

Not going to bring the Vader this time.. It was a REAL pain.. The helmet broke shipping to C V.

I will be there. I think I will plan a Disney trip the week before that and take the kids and myself on the new Star Tours ride. I never been to a SW convention before and I need to go to one I'm getting old
