Not going to bring the Vader this time.. It was a REAL pain.. The helmet broke shipping to C V.

I walked up to a tall Vader at CV and asked if he was Shalamar. He said no, but the Imperial Guard with him said he should have said yes because he thought maybe I would've given him something special. :lol

Hey everyone... the Rosen Centre is once again available on the official CVI hotel site for $109. Hop on it! :clap:clap

The Peabody is also now there for $169 - that's the one with the covered walkway to the convention center.

Man, I was really hoping for another West Coast/Western states CVI because I really want to go and live out here. Will have to see what I can work out for next year.

I saw that on RS about an hour ago and booked the Rosen Centre right before I ran into a meeting. I had to do it twice because the first time I booked the wrong Rosen. :lol

Heh.. That IS funny. There are a number of tall Vaders, but if I go (And I'm trying hard to make it work) I'll be wearing this:

I'm the tall guy in white.. in case you were wondering.

Never been to a con before..wonder if I could talk my wife into going. She's said in the past that we should go to SDCC since it seems like fun. Hmmm...

You've gotta go, VASith!!! :hi5:

I'm probably bringing the wife and kid(s), but I did mention that I should go by myself and she said "yeah, maybe you should". :yess:

Then I thought about it and was like "what does that mean?" :lol

To be continued...

Peabody secured. :hi5:

That looked like a nice place. What are your impressions of it?

I'm rooming with a couple Freaks and already booked the Rosen, but I wonder if the Peabody would be a little quieter and not quite as hectic as the Rosen may be.

So which is actually a shorter walk - the Peabody or the Rosen?

Or are they the same?!?!

Really the same difference. Rosen you need to walk across 2 lanes of parking traffic, the Peabody you need to walk across 2 lanes of road traffic.

Very nice. Kinda trendy and fancypants (Plush lobby and rooms, HDTV inside the mirrors in the bathroom, that kinda thing). But the best thing about is how damn close it is to the Convention Center. You literally walk right out the lobby door and directly across the street (where police stop traffic for you every time). During Celebration V, it was a cinch to go to-from the hotel & convention center, which was especially appreciated due to the oppressive heat & humidity.
