Hey Chris since you seem to only post in this thread I'll ask it in here instead of the other one; what is going on with the Star Trek sculpts? Last we heard these were gonna be done 3 weeks ago so any updates you could offer us would be appreciated.

Chris!

Happy 20th Anniversary!!!

:banana :banana :banana

May the sculpting gods continue
to favor you!

Not quite only this thread, but it is my little home here at SSF! :D I tend to post here and in the specific thread where I've updated. Case in point, the Summer Glau thread recently got an update, here and there.

As I repeatedly say, time lines are only estimates and real life has a way of reorganizing my schedule without my consent.

I work around the clock. Seriously. If I'm lucky I sleep maybe 5 or 6 hours a night. Virtually all conscious hours are occupied with work. The projects here on SSF are close to my heart, they are what I enjoy most of all and I wish they were the only work I had.... but they don't put food on the table. I simply don't charge enough versus the time they take. My commercial work supports my family. So, when my masters say jump, I jump. And they been making me jump an awful lot lately! :D

In the mean time I try to keep prices to you guys ridiculously low compared to the effort that goes into the projects so everyone can afford quality work. A consequence of that is that the schedule is necessarily fluid. Hopefully it's an acceptable compromise. It takes time, but you get the best quality available anywhere at any price (sorry if that sounds boastful, but it is my goal).

That being said I was just, in fact, working on Spock this afternoon. He will be the first update, hopefully mid week (ESTIMATE!!! NOT WRITTEN IN STONE!!). Kirk and McCoy are roughed out and await my attention. I care a lot about these Star Trek heads, so you can be sure I will be taking the time it takes to make these outstanding. I want these to be the very best ST likenesses you are ever going to see (knock on wood).

So, I ask your patience a bit longer. I'll make it worth your while! :naughty

I personally think the constant demands of updates are a bit rude. Have some patience people, it's done when it's done.

Hey Guys, it's cool! I know folks are anxious, I just want y'all to understand it's not that I'm ignoring things, just the opposite. Working my tail off!

And I figure you'd rather have it done right than rushed and crappy. My goal is to make all my projects the best available anywhere at any price. And that takes time and intense concentration.

Spawnfan, I don't think 8th Wonder was referring only to you! There have been a few others with varying levels of courtesy. :D

Thanks, guys!

This is from the Summer Glau thread. Any thoughts?

Hey guys,

Quick question for you all..... I'm going to be creating the damage in the Battle damaged Cameron shortly. I was going to use the damage as seen in an earlier episode, but I just saw the new damaged look from the episode coming this Friday. I have a couple really bad screen captures of it:

Sorry for the low quality, I had the quality cranked down to save disk space when I was recording the episode. I need to clear out some space!

I was thinking I might do this style damage. Any preference?

I like this version more! :banana

Hey Chris, pending interest, would you be willing to sculpt the Mythbusters?

Might tick off Kari.... she used to be a toy sculptor! Actually, it's funny, I sketched them out sometime back meaning to send them a proposal. I'll have to dig those up.

Sure, but it'll be a bit until I can get to them! :D They would be really fun. Need some serious props, though.

Really? Any examples of what Kari sculpted? I never new she was a toy sculptor, although it really doesn't surprise me. She and the rest of the crew can practically make anything so toys are probably realatively easy for them compaired to the other stuff they've done.

Something tells me Adam would love a figure of himself but Jamie could probably careless :lol

Should I start a thread then? I do see 2 possible problems though. They both wear glasses and hats. Adam not as much, but Jamie wouldn't be complete without his beret. But Adam's cowboy hat would be a nice addition to him.

Hey Chris-

Any chance I can get an update on my project?

PLEASE PM or Email me...

Chris just saw your Terminator sculpt. Looks great! Its getting me pumped up for your Milla. Any new news?
