I've asked some DP's about the Bale explosion, and most say "He was Justified in saying what he said, but he went a bit over the top. It didn't need to go on for the length it did in front of the crew. And McG should have not been such a ^^^^^ in defending his DP, it showed who was in charge on that set, and it wasn't the director."

I don't think it's that simple, seeing as how the DC section is one of the more popular sections of the board (due 100% to TDK), plus in a SSF poll of best film of 2008, TDK won by a landslide. I love Bale and his work, I just think he could have handled it better, but cut him slack. IMO there are more Bale-heads here than you think, and some of them honestly think his rant may have been justified, but was definitely excessive. I think it was excessive, but my view of him does not change. He is still one of the best and risk-taking-est (I made that word up) actors of his generation.
