Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

I realize the foundation gets a cut of this, but I'm betting this also a nice little test to further raise popular PF pieces. :gah:

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

Where the heck are you guys getting the extra $25 bucks is a donation from? Just wild speculation or did someone actually read that somewhere? Mt HT Reeve wasn't higher priced, and a $25 hit per customer would be awfully steep.

IMO this is just the start of the sliding scale to $450, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Reading is fundamental.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

Anything officially with Reeve's likeness sends a slice to the foundation IIRC.

25 bucks pp is a pretty generous slice. What's SS contributing?

Either way thanks Irvy for pointing that out, hard to see the full reveal well on my iPhone and didn't see it.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

But that's not what this is. You have the regular comic book products to be zany with crazy comic book poses. This is a licensed collectible that is supposed to reflect Christopher Reeve's movie Superman specifically. And that is where the pose is a massive failure.

Why put a "sensibility" into a product based on something that specifically does not have said sensibility? I (and I assume at least a few others) want my 1/4 Christopher Reeve Superman to reflect HIM, not some crazy artistic bent.

But, oh well. It's pass. Not much more to say than that. I'm out.

EXACTLY.

Funny, how most who like this are not big time Chris Reeve fans or are not planning to actually fork over the $425.00.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

You guys do realise they have PFs that are $800+...

Yeah because it's impossible to like this and be a big time fan :slap

Of course, but not for your average standing figure. If you're talking about Sauron or the Droids you're getting a bit more with those. Justifies the price in my mind. But to slide towards $450(conan) $500 + shipping...nope, I just can't see it for an 18" figure on a base.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

LOL, It's my fault you missed it and went on a rant about sliding prices. Yes I know.

I honestly can't make out much of the wording on that reveal.

But one thing doesn't exclude the other. Guess we'll see as the year unfolds.

You thought that was a rant?

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

At 30" this fig will tower over all the DC pieces released thus far. If the donation is a decent amount then 425 is cool with me.

If it does happen, that's when you have a decision to make. But I'd look at the pricing on Conan before this one as a price gouger.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

This is the same height as the Superman bust.
