Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

I have no problem with $25 donated; what I do have a problem with is SS starting to go this route on regular PFs. Although it's bound to happen at some point, we've had price increases just recently. Time will tell on this I suppose.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

But that's not what this is. You have the regular comic book products to be zany with crazy comic book poses. This is a licensed collectible that is supposed to reflect Christopher Reeve's movie Superman specifically. And that is where the pose is a massive failure.

Why put a "sensibility" into a product based on something that specifically does not have said sensibility? I (and I assume at least a few others) want my 1/4 Christopher Reeve Superman to reflect HIM, not some crazy artistic bent.

But, oh well. It's pass. Not much more to say than that. I'm out.

See, I get your points, but in the end this wasn't made JUST FOR YOU... Or even just for the so called "DIEHARD" fans. I was made for a collecting public that tends to like the comicbook sensibilities. If you don't like it I can respect that, but this is a solidly delivered, artistic piece, that depicts Christopher Reeve as Superman. It might not be how some WANT to see him, but in the end they do NOT have to order this. There is no gun to anyone's head.

Anyone else think that the EX crystal will go much better with the Comic Supes PF due to it's fortress of solitude base...???

As a matter a fact a terribly smart, attractive, and gentle soul already brought that up.

... And the base for the EX crystal looks like it would go better with the Comic Superman PF then this one... Actually it literally looks like it was patterned off of the comicbook PF base.

:wink1:

EXACTLY.

Funny, how most who like this are not big time Chris Reeve fans or are not planning to actually fork over the $425.00.

You don't NEED to do you... Or are you the guy with a gun to his head???

Yeah because it's impossible to like this and be a big time fan :slap

Don't you get it... You are wrong for likening this because it isn't an EXACT scene out of the movie with him grinning ear to ear...:slap

LOL, It's my fault you missed it and went on a rant about sliding prices. Yes I know.

TBolt is a sensitive soul... All I need to do is post a pic of my Spiderman Com and he might SHATTER!!!!!

I thought the same thing about Irish's post; apparently if you're a 'big time' Reeve fan you're not supposed to like this fig.

Nope see my logic above.

Without the donation, it'd be the same price as always :lol

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

I don't understand what you're saying Spidey.

I don't understand what you're saying Spidey.

See you are not suppose to like this... No fan of Reeve as Superman should... It is an affront to ALL things CR Superman.. Because he isn't smiling, and he has a more comicbook inspired pose.... It is an ABOMINATION!!!!!

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

Just saw the email. So what do you guys think of this Premium Format figure compared to the Hot Toys figure?

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

I like this fig. Is it the Reeve PF I was thinking we would get from SS? No. What else could they have done though? Hands on hips is camp as ****.

Flying pose is out of the question really for a statue this big, you'd have to have some weird support thingy to make it work.

This kind of hovering/deciding which way to fly off pose is OK but not the best.

I was thinking maybe something from this scene would have been the best, I can't find a screen cap that is suitably heroic but this scene is great, he smiles a lot in it and an alt profile with a smile would have been great;

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

I must be daft or something, because I don't understand why hands-on-hips pose wouldn't work.
