Every time people don't like a sculpt, I see "start over" or "change the face/pose".. but have they actually ever done that?

Y'know, I'm not gonna be a "hater" but I just can't feel the love for this piece and I really want to.

Saddest thing is I can't really put my finger on what exactly is bugging me about it; it's just one of those "I know what I like when I see it" kind of things.
And I really wanted this to be a no-brainier pickup for me. Reeve was my Superman.

Scrap it entirely.... Not that I know of that the piece EVER came out again. However the Superman comic PF was completely reworked after it was show at SDCC, but before the PO

Y'know, I'm not gonna be a "hater" but I just can't feel the love for this piece and I really want to.

Feel pretty much the same way, CR will always be Superman to me and as others have stated the sculpt is solid and seeing it unpainted it's instantly recognizable CR. Not perfect, but very good. Sadly, the paint app is horrifying, so much so that it's hard to tell who's being portrayed (I see young Ronald Reagan honestly) and in close up shots it looks like someone who has been embalmed.

The pic from spidey with the close up head sculpt sure looks like they are using that. Only way they can make proper likeness... a flat production paint job will ruin this sculpt.

Yea, I was talking about after it went up for pre-order.

I thought it's possible they may have re-worked a few projects, even after they went up.. but I guess they're already into production, at some level.

I'd love to see an hour+ documentary of the entire process.

Well, they have reworked pieces and made changes... They added a light up on the GL PF and even changed the ring on his hand a bit..

I'd love them to take another crack at a thor PF for avengers or dark world, first one sucked bad. Too much cap stuff being churned out.

Did any of you actually ever see it in person? Ill give it that the pics were that great but in person its pretty good. Way closer to the actor then this one. Another thing is I think the issues are just in the polystone. No statue is better then a figure in regards to likeness.

I am curious to see if SSC makes any "slight" changes to this... This thread has been pretty quiet since it's PO went live... Usually pages blow up after the PO goes live with lots of "EX ordered" comments. So far I count 13 orders.

Of course I am not saying this is a representation of how many they are going to sell but I do think the full reveal ended up being a disappointment and thus has affected SSF sales.

Will be curious to see how the orders go after the SDCC photos appear. Perhaps it will look much better there or perhaps there will be some "tweaks" made. Perhaps this will never take off until In hand photos appear and then everyone will trip over themselves to order it. I hope it works out for the sake of those who ordered it and for those who wanted to order it but where let down.

But with the exception of some back and forth of opinions and a bunch of "do not like" post this thread went very quiet. Strange for such an iconic character that so many have been waiting for.

I just checked out the Newer Punisher PF thread to compare and there was 13 pre orders on day one and 8 pages of day one threads. This thread had 10 day one pages and 13 pre orders also.

What does all of this mean??? Beats the hell out of me

I hope they make some changes that will make everyone happy but if they don't I hope the ES is low and that all those that get him are really happy with the final product.
