The pics Chris posted look good, the ones after don't look any different from earlier seen examples.

Most over there won't accept there are issues regardless of what's shown. Very strange to me.
I have no issues commenting on exactly what I see, regardless of company or past experiences.

I was able to see Frobay's but not Chrisrex's statue. Each side of Frobay's looks completely different and displays the same poor paint application we've seen so far. The only reason why everyone is saying it looks good is because no one is left but CC apologists - they've banned almost everyone who has expressed criticism.

It's like a little cult over there, quite bizzare.

Chronicle is at Dallas Comic Con and have a production piece there. I think it looks fine, but I'm sure the usual suspects would tear it apart. If I get one like the one I saw then I'll be happy.

I think for a much smaller scale and for the fraction of the price... They did a good job overall... Bottom Jaw paint is the major issue. But JP fans I would should be happy overall.

I thought I read that they did not do a wash on the base, but the pic above has the wash instead of the "desert" look as described earlier.
So what is it? Chronicle did or did not do a wash on the base?

I also read something about the orginal not having spots on the tongue but the screen used on above has spots on the tongue so what is it? There are spots on the orginal like on the Chronicle one or there are not spots on the orginal and Chronicle made that up?

I'm so confused.

The eye paint needs a glossy finish on it. It has no realism or life to it.

Going back and rereading the initial reactions of the Very Museum photos in contrast with the response of the past few pieces is striking. Even the base that you mentioned warranted a replacement by Toynami according to Paul on the Very Museum piece yet these recent photos depict the same paint apps on the base. Let me add to your confusion:

The terrible cast quality of the teeth, the obvious seam of those forearms... and the silly paint apps.
I'm fine if it is a re-cast piece.

this cant be the real thing...looks like a recast or something. if it is, I'm going to rethink CC.

seems shady, going to wait for a response from chronicle before I pass judgement.

Those teeth,those seams...this can't be happening!

what if theirs somebody out there trying to sabotage CC by manipulating a real model and making all that mess in purpose? the seem in the left arm is not even painted!!!

I'll get to the bottom of it, this is Toynami's factory and they will get it right even if they have to go back through every one and hand check them again!

Just got word from Toynami, they are going to have the shipment inspected and will be reaching out to Very Museum tomorrow to replace that unit. Toynami assures me they will take care of overseas customers personally if there are any issues.

Looking at the picture of the big head, I just realized that the "spots" on the lower jaw aren't really spots in that they aren't haphazard patterns like you might find on a leopard. The raised areas on the skin are darker than the recessed areas in that section. That's important, because you could probably have achieved a better look by dry brushing that area. People who paint know what I mean. The only issue there could have been then is that the skin texture didn't match and you didn't have all the raised areas to paint that you should have.

I do think Chrisrex got a good one, maybe CC sent him one of the better ones knowing he was local and would get it sooner, the other looks quite bad.

I'm pretty sure they will look ok on display at normal viewing distance but this is no masterpiece.

I still haven't seen his yet but I'm not surprised he would get one of the good ones if he's a local. I don't think it's coincidence that darb got the best-looking endoskeletons we've seen to date.

Why the base is desert tan color,Jurrasic Park was supposed to be in Costa Rica,not North Africa.

Maybe its the pics because it has the same finish as the others ive seen as well as a second i got to repaint. Which btw had the arm glued in wrong so it could hold the gun. It also wasnt repainted and had the black overspray which you can remove with acetone fairly easily.
