I'm not happy about the whole discount code thing, but I'm keeping Luke. It's still cheaper than picking it up on ebay.

Now to get my hands on Chewie. :chew

I'll grab an extra for you if I see it in my travels. I'm going to try hitting Dickson City this weekend and possibly Hazleton if I'm feeling adventurous with the gas tank.

You're back in Plymouth for the summer, right?

Indeed I am. I hit the Wilkes Barre Target but they only had regular figures and NO Vintage though they are reset. Won't even talkk about how dissapointing Wal Mart is :lol I am glad that Hasbro will apparently be putting out a revision case sometime in the future with some more McFigures though because this 1 per case thing is crap.

This whole thing was a mess. If we end up not getting the CIV version (sticker, etc) then I will call to complain since it isn't the same and therefore the coupon should work. If it is the CIV version then I am a little less pissed about the coupon not working.

Now I just need to find that darn McStormtrooper and now I guess McChewie.

How did I miss this Luke figure? I thought the only exclusive for CIV was the McDroids.

So it only follows that I missed the direct on-line purchase as well.

I hate that I have to turn to Evilbay for him. :emperor

Geez... acquiring all those blasted McQuarrie figures are going to give me a heartattack. :monkey4 :monkey4 :monkey4

I can't believe I actually found a McQuarrie Stormtrooper today. On top of all the smack I've been giving Luca$$ and $tar War$ lately and yet it was as though Luca$$ himself smiled down upon me and said "You are forgiven, my son. Now, give me more money." :lol

picked up a mcq luke and c3 r2 set with the CIV stickers for less than $60 shipped on ebay. there are plenty of deals right now while the market is flooded. don't delay. toyrocket sold about 400 c3 r2 sets at $19.99 in a couple of days.

I got the F#%*ing email too. I'm pissed like the rest of you.
The most they could've done is send me an accurate updated receipt of my order to better let me decide if I keep it.
Hasblow you suck.

For anyone wondering what the damage is for 1 Luke without the code, here's the information from my order without the code.

ORDER TOTAL
Item Subtotal: $14.99
Gift Wrap: $0.00
Shipping: $4.84
Tax: $0.75
Order Total: $20.58

I went with the default standard shipping option, I'm in no rush, and the sales tax is the 5% for Massachusetts.

I was expecting more on the shipping. Won't sting too bad. I payed $30 for the C3PO&R2 .

I seem to remmeber hearing something over at Rebelscum that Hasbro has heard the issue with the McFigures being 1 per case and may be sending them at 2 per (or however many the factory can produce) in later revision waves. This would probably be just the first few though, like the Stormie, Boba and Chewie.

I just received this form letter from Hasblowtoyshop.com

Dear Customer,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your point of view on the fact that
the Friends and Family discount did not apply when ordering the Luke Skywalker
figure which was sold at Celebration IV. This item was specifically excluded
from the discount program in order to ensure fair and equitable treatment to the
consumers who attended the show and paid the full price. Therefore, when
weighing out the pros and cons of honoring this as a one time exception in order
to retain your business, we feel that we must stand by our original decision to
exclude this figure from the promotional offer

The excerpt below in from the "Friends and Family" promotional email that was
sent to our Consumers:

25% off and free standard shipping offers may only be redeemed through the
HasbroToyShop.com website toward the purchase of products currently available
and purchased on HasbroToyShop.com. Offer excludes Star Wars Celebration IV
exclusive action figures. Discount applies to pre-tax amount. Offer expires
5/28/07 at

They didn't even give me my order total or an estimate on when they'll start charging cards as I asked for in my original message. BAD customer service.
I wonder if the original email that contained the code had the "Offer excludes Star Wars Celebration IV exclusive action figures" line or they just recently added it to the legal mumbo jumbo.
Thanks for posting your total MaulFan. It's not as bad as I had imagined.

Hasblo sucks. They've taken all the fun out of collecting with these impossible-to-find McQuarrie figures, now they renig on their discount codes. That's cheap. Screw Hasblo.

I don't know I came to the McQuarrie collecting thing quite late in the game and have managed to get Fett, Stormie and Vader without resorting to EBay.

The concept figures in general seem to have brought fans back to Hasbro, who haven't bought a Hasbro figure in years.

I agree they are difficult to find, I've never actually seen any of these in an actual shop and I've seen most of series one and two.

Vader? Do tell... as he isnt out yet in any wave.

I found my first McQuarrie figure in the store... Boba Fett. Unfortunately, the collector who found him first bent the card every which way but Sunday destroying any collectibility of the piece. So I got it for my son.

Sure Hasblow sucks... but some Star Wars fans suck more. :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

That reminds me of when my Hasbro collecting was an addiction. It would always tick me off when I saw that someone had done that. Especially when it was a figure I was looking for!
