I already like her more than the Darwyn Cooke Catwoman.

Lesson learned Sideshow: Stop putting fabric on female sculpts. The Purple Cat takes the cake here. She looks stunning. I hope Sideshow re-does a Darwyn Catwoman in the next couple years as the first CW PF was a bit of a let down imo. Not bad, but not great. Im loving the fully sculpted purple CW here. Congrats on scoring one.

So this is my replacement head still a mark on the teeth. My original one is better than the replacement, they are all f$@($$ up?

Yep, there's no contest. Classic wins hands down. The paint app is a flawless creamy texture. The sculpt isn't hidden under a layer of cheap fabric ( which a real shame on the first PF ). There's still plenty Sideshow can do to offer mixed media details to the base and switch out accessories but they need to leave fabric off the bodies.

The bases and feet appear to be keyed the same, but I didn't bother switching bases because the whip on the Darwyn Cooke CW is a pain in the ass and the Classic's arms and hands ( with those long nails ) seem fragile and I don't like handling my pieces more than I have to.

Bgnyc007, my CW head is perfect. Is the paint on the tooth a chip or a mark? There might be a way to clean it off if there's white paint underneath.

The teeth are an issue again on the replacement head it's a pink tooth stain, I will try to clean it with a q-tip or something if it's a simple paint smudge. I'm just paranoid of damaging the paint I'll keep you guys posted. She should come with some tooth paste or something lol.

We have examined your picture you have provided and compared it against our in-house display as well as the gallery photos on our website. Please know that the head on your Catwoman is consistent with the intended design of this figure. I have provided a picture below directly from our website gallery that will show that the eye shadow is heavier on one side than the other. Additionally, this will show the lipstick is consistent with your piece as well. Keep in mind that since our products are each individually hand crafted and hand painted, there will be minor variations and imperfections that will be considered normal and acceptable.

Sending them more pictures,no way in hell Im keeping this if not offered a replacement head.

Are they joking??? That lipstick paint was applied very sloppily. It went over her lips and onto her face. And the corners are horrible. That is not even a fair paint job, that's a lousy paint job. I think it's just luck to get 1 with a good paint job, I won't say excellent, but a good paint job. Even her eyes don't look good either on yours. I've noticed the replacements are not even as good as what you initially got.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I think the 1st PF is much nicer than this one (and for the record, I prefer fully sculpted statues).

Yeah blew my mind when I got that reply. I sent another email with more pictures cause there is no way they actually looked at the ones I sent. We'll see what they say this time...

That close up picture is awful. The eyes might be fine when viewing from across the room, maybe. The mouth is horrendous with the sloppy lipstick paint. The teeth are the worst. It looks like a pair of cracked dentures, and their color looks dark. If that's what was intended, I'm afraid to get mine in the second batch of shipments. and this is a $450 statue? The sculpt and prototype are first class but take some pride in what you actually send to your customers.

This John Ficchi custom comes closest to the Classic imo ( he is the only one I would let touch my Darwyn Cooke PF, and that's if he'd accept the commission ).The man does amazing work.

I have zero problems saying a variant looks better than the original if I truly thinks it looks better. Whether I have a piece or not, it doesn't color how I feel about a piece. The head sculpt on this Catwoman just doesn't cut the mustard for me personally. Paint apps won't change that fact for me. I still like the Darwyn CW best because I think it looks better.
