Looks ok Mark, but still a bit too shiny for all the battle damage he has on him. You should have dulled down the armor color a bit like hurricane did. not sure how you'd do that...

I have no idea how to dull him up. I would of if I knew how to. I wonder if Hurricane repaints all the armor with a flat white then goes from their. He does airbush parts so that would make repainting the whole thing MUCH easier.

Hey mfoga , try using TAMIYA masking tape , it has a slightly glossy surface which helps repel paint perfectly . One use and you'll never look back ! I imagine Hurricane uses Testors Dullcote , but I could be wrong . This comes in a spray can if you don't use an airbrush . ( Why not ? Go 'n get one now!)

Usually, with the hasbro based clones, all armor receives a matt black base coat, then white over that, for two reasons, natural shadowing can be achieved and for scratches, you scratch away the white to show the black....
with the medi clone, i didnt base coat black, all scratches are really scratched into the armor, then crushed pastels workked into the scratches, and Mig pigments scrubbed on here and there, some airbrushing to blend this a bit, alternatly you could buff the armor with scotchbrite to remove the gloss or try dull coat.

That takes some kahonas to custimize a $150 piece, I would be way to scared I'd damage it and make it look like crap. Awesome customs!!
