Heh, Forgot to put the word Many, in my post up there. Completely changes the context of the entire sentance. :) :lol

I will agree that there does seem to be some anominity between sidehow fanboys and Medi fanboys. Reminds me of the old SNES vs Genesis wars too.

Soooo happy I'm not Biased :)

Seriously though. I agree with Maulfan, Each company has their strengths, and their weaknesses. Not a one of them will ever be completely perfect. There will allways be people who prefer one over the other.

Getting the thread back on track, Am I the only one who think's Parji's gloves are too long? I thought the imperial officers who wore gloves, had ones that stopped at the wrist, and the sleve went on top of the glove ( look at Veers in the AT-A, most visible gloves)

Second question: Which hat do most of you prefer? The plastic one, or the cloth one? So far, i think I like the plastic one.

Now i just need to decide what I'm going to do with the extra Praji, headswap, or something else.....

I'm glad I'm not biased either. Both Medicom and Sideshow have their strengths as far as I'm concerned.

To answer your question about the gloves, Veers' sleeves do extend over them, but the black uniformed officers have gloves over the sleeves. They look the right length.

As for the hat, I prefer the cloth cap because it matches with the uniform. The plastic one is too rigid and clunky.

Majority you're right, they don't, but some talk about Medicom with an elitist attitude and just spend time talking down other companies. I have no issue with someone loving any one company more than others, but I think it's possible to express you're love for that company without making insinuation that you'd be crazy not to feel the same way. I speak positively about Sideshow but I don't try to make other people love it or make suggestions that SSC's the best and all. I think negative and positive can co-exist if the manner in which points are made. The key is to keep discussion about the products and not bring the collector's POV into debate.

Look,I'm not talking down other companies.I'm just expressing my opinion.I felt it was necessary to comment on the Commander Pajj figure because to me it seemed like the same old story with SS releasing a non important figure like prajj.

I know you guys know were I stand on SS 12" figures but I feel those people out there that have the same views as I do should be given the option to here my opinion. So that said we all think the way we think and we all should express are selves when necessary,as long as we do it the way I do it,with "class".:D

Ugh...can we all just let this go already???

Cheers to those who wanted it and got it.

Sincerest regrets to those who missed out.

And for those who don't want it, take the $60 plus shipping and go out for a nice evening with your girlfriend, wife, boyfriend, husband, whatever.

I considered that one as well, but there is no Sideshow version in the mix there. All three were imported figures.

It seems that it's more of a Medicom fan vs. Sideshow fan flame war as opposed to SW fans being overly picky. Not that we can't be, but I personally think the deeper roots are between the companies.

Well as far as company wars, ya I've only ever seen that, but in general collecting, Star Wars seems to be the only property that stirs things up amongst the collecting community. I said before, I never see people snap over choices of figure from Hot Toys Aliens or even SSC's other lines, they may vocalize disagreement, but it doesn't sound like things did over this Praji and other SW figures.

You are missing the point. Those people are mad about this choice, due to the limited number of slots of Sideshow releases a year. If this was Hasbro, and there were going to be 60+ releases this year, it would be no big deal. Skip it, grab the next one. But Sideshow doesn't release like that. We will be lucky if we get 8 in a year ... 12 with exclusives. So, to waste the release on a Commander who is useless ... AND who no one really wanted (lie all you want, but the people who want him want him to have an Imperial Officer, NOT to have ole' Praji himself). I won't lie. I ordered one out of my completest nature. But that resolve is wanning. I will probably drop him. Now if it was at least as someone else put it, "someone Vader strangled" I could accept that. But 70 dollars for a guy who doesn't even rank a seat at a minor Star Wars convention? Please.

Trivia Question: What is the difference between "blink and you missed 'em" characters Praji and Willrow Hood? At least some people out there actually wanted Willrow .... :D

You are missing the point.

Missing what point? That this has become just another lightning rod for members to tear each other apart? That some people just can't say their peace and move on?

No, I think I got the point, and so once again...

It's $tar Wars...plain and simple.

Star Wars fans are going to buy figures of characters that were on screen for 0.08 seconds. Evidence of that is seen with all the stuff Hasbro spits out and just now Hasbro is beginning to scrape the surface of the Expanded Universe.

Sideshow knows that too, why do you think they can spit out all these characters and sets (like Jabba's creatures, Maul Sith probes, etc.) that most people wouldn't bat an eyelash at from any less popular franchise?

Also factor in that this is the FIRST Imperial Officer out there and you have to consider the customizing potential. People here are all talking about dyeing the costume, etc. and that will contribute to the popularity.

No matter how much people complain, the Sideshow Star Wars figures WILL continue to sell even if they did Ugnaut 3-packs (those midgets from Bespin) and no-namers for the remainder of the license. I suppose you can just hope that Sideshow's recent collaboration with Hot Toys will now bring those always desired armored figures out. I'm willing to say that if you don't see any armored figures released through 2008 that you'll NEVER see them from Sideshow on their first go-ahead with the SW license.

Give the man a hand.
:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

C'mon man,I never even herd of Commander Prajj until SS announced they were releasing him as a figure.:lol Man!! you guys crack me up.

I didn't know the name but soon as they said the line I knew exactly who it was. You could describe Willrow Hood all you want but I still haven't noticed him in ESB.

Some good discussion it appears while I was gone then it kind of fizzled out again towards the end with the same old same old.

I will say I don't think SS is perfect. They've had their share of issues and I've mentioned those that bothered me. I've done the same with Medicom in the figures I've seen or had. Overall, I just try to enjoy my collecting in figures like this because if not I might as well find something else to collect.

Yea, he is, which really means we have a light first quarter. We have Palpatine, Padme and then this guy if Ben and Leia make it by years end.

So far, they seem to be on schedule this year. Bespin Luke was a surprise. I didn't expect him to make it by year's end. What is left for this year though? Just Ben and Leia right?
