Confirmed Upcoming 1/6 Star Wars Releases: Hot Toys & Sideshow

[...]One thing I find super strange is that Sideshow did an X-Wing/ANH Pilot Luke instead of Snowspeeder/ESB version. It would have fix better with the other Hoth figures they've already released. Going forward, I wouldn't expect them to release another pilot within a year of the first.

I've abandoned hope for that release. I had originally seriously considered kit-bashing/customizing one from existing figures but I can't justify the cost for the foreseeable future.

It'd be great if they just finished the bounty hunters.

Maybe eventually, especially now with a 3PO mould usable for 4-Lom, just expect them to be on the "back-burner" compared to other more marketable characters.

Anyone hoping/expecting we might see a reveal around May (4th)?

I wish HT would do a Celebration Exclusive of some kind. They do this for Japanese Cons (ie. Midas Iron Man) That would cause mass Panic I think.

I'd be happy if Hot Toys hired sculptors that bothered to capture an actor's likeness instead of what we've been seeing from their SW human characters. I think some of these figures if produced in quantities as high as Bespin Luke might be around for a long time. Many Hot Toys aren't quite hot sellers these days.

I just go with stuff officially announced by a company, makes it easier. But, sadly there has been very little news lately and rather than adding to the list I just remove things as they happen.

Yeah, great to see a figure finally move off the "confirmed in development" section... but then also interesting to see R4-D5 a figure that has never been teased (although not one anyone should be surprised by) end up with a pretty great proto at the show. It seems the days of teasers and hints are far behind us.
