As are many others.Unfortunately, my work schedule right now could be politely described as"murderous"(most of my co-workers are not so polite) so not much is happening. 10 hour days just suck the creativity outta me(too many words there;everything after"the"is un-neccesary).I will keep you all posted...PS

Got to putter with Bossk the other day(the recent work schedule has been killer. Anyway, filled a few voids on the 3 rifle castings I've done;the mold works quite well now that I've got it decently vented.Got the ankles worked out too;just need the time and energy to actually do the work. Why,oh why was I not born rich?...PS

Okay, time for a real update.Byzantine OT is finally over, so I actually have the time and energy to work on my own projects. So, without further ado...

I attached the head!...

And prepped the arms!...

And futzed with the suit.Attachment for the head and arms is pretty straight forward. Bore out the contacts with my trusty Dremel and fasten them down. Of course, I can't attach the arms permanently until I have the cuffs finished(those big paws will never fit thru the sleeves), but I never intended otherwise;once he's in the suit,he stays in it.I've also figured out a way to cinch up the suit to better fit the slender Buck body with a couple of pieces of elastic.Today's project is to actually start to sculpt the feet! Such progress. And yes, the figure in the background is slave Leia;still working on breaking down the GG sculpt(damned glue)...PS

And the ball keeps rolling. Spent yesterday afternoon building up a good layer of wax on the leg and feet. My concept model is now my pattern. Just gotta carve away all the stuff that doesn't look like his leg...PS

Update! And the word for the week is...
FEET!!!

Actually, feet and a generic leg(why sculpt the same thing twice?)

These are wax pieces, which I now have to set up for molding. The feet are great;the leg still needs a bit more tweaking. I've worked out a locking system so that the foot doesn't have to be attached until after the leg is set. Sometimes it pays to take a while on these things...PS

wow..................thats spectacular work wm..................:clap

FEET are impressive, what kind of wax do you use as a base for molding?
Am already on sclpting something that is going to be molded also ...

Well, I did work in a pattern shop for over 15 years;you do pick up a few tricks. The wax I use is a custom formula that we used in the shop for patterns. It's a blend of 4 waxes with an orange pigment and talc(a filler). Believe it or not, we used oil paint for the pigment. I have a carefully hoarded supply from the good old days(Gahd I miss that job!). My "brilliant" articulated ankle is basically the same as the most recent 3 3/4" figure, though I did have to figure out a few engineering problems(such fun)...PS
