very nice cast! like others have said, can't wait to see it come all together...but i love progress pics. just builds the anticipation for the final product :D

Update! A co-worker has offered to pick up some Smooth-On 321, so I should be able to try the head mold again next week, as well as testing out the gun mold. Progress!...PS

Update!!! The new resin(Smooth-On 320) has been tested, and performed beautifully, as has my new "trick" for getting the teeth...

Fresh in the mold!

Check out all those teeth! The lower teeth are all filled...

While I was at it, I ran the arms and gun. Almost all the scales filled...

The gun casts better than any other mold, so far. Just a few easily filled bubbles along the top, and all the little details are captured. 'Guess I'm a better mold tech than I remembered...

Rough trim. This is more what I had in mind with this project.I'm not sure if it's the fresh resin, or the evolution of my pouring technique(probably both). Now I just need to get the feet taken care of, which will bring a few more of the old model-shop skills into play.

Excellent work . Please tell me you'll be making some of these available . I've a Bossk ready and waiting to be kicked into shape ! :clap

totally sweet. molds came out great. looks as if they dont even need that much clean up......:clap

:banana Those casts look great waxy! Can't wait to see old lizard-face when you put him together and slap some paint on.

Mind sharing some of your molding techniques? The arm molds are very nicely shaped, how did you do that? Like how did you get it to form such nice, smooth curves? I've been having some molding trouble lately, need some good advice.

I wish there were more threads like this! Amazing ingenuity, and the process and steps involved are so interesting.
