Interesting info from here https://arrow.wikia.com/wiki/Slade_Wilson. They reckon Slade has already lost sight in his right eye.

Of course he has, he is wearing an eye patch after all.

Yeah, but he specifically says "I'll put an Arrow through his eye," and, at the beginning of season 1, we see the bloody Deathstroke mask with an arrow through the eye. I'm not sure how much more obvious what happened could get.:lol

Yep, plus they also showed the mask with the arrow stuck in it in the first episode of this season too.

I really don't think that Shado's death is what Slade is angry about. We have a whole half of season worth of Island flashbacks still to go, and I'm sure they're going to go somewhere with it, not just Slade and Ollie fighting the whole time. There's more going on, we just don't know yet.

I really am amazed at how they've set up this show. With the amount of characters already established in this universe, I'm really curious as to where they go next and how deep into the DC mythos they go. Personally, with Ollie, Flash, and Black Canary, I think you're halfway to a solid JSA lineup.

This show NEEDS Hawkman, although I don't know how you'd make that work.

No they're saying he lost the sight in his right eye on the island from the injuries he received when he was burnt, before he was injected with the Miracle.

You're missing my point, Slade doesn't want Oliver dead and even describes him as his friend. He wants to punish him not kill him, surely if Oliver tried to kill Slade he'd want to kill him in return?

The Mirakuru healed his burns, the odds are that it healed his eye, too. That being said, I don't recall his eye being damaged in the blast.

If they going to have Oliver fighting Slade for the next 3 and a half seasons its going to get pretty boring, somehow i can't see Slade being on the island for the whole time Oliver's stranded there.

I think they've got to be carefull just how many superhero characters they want to introduce, we've seen how they've used names of superhero's for regular characters as a nod to the comics. Personally i'd like them to keep the superheroes to whats been seen but keep adding the better villains from the comics.

Its just what was on the site, then again they've got Ivo as dead.

If he were mearly blind in one eye, there'd be no need to wear a patch. Patches are to cover empty eye sockets.

Just finished rewatching season 1, been watching in 3 or 4 episode blocks, its great to digest multiple eps at once, makes the first season flow better, but you can still tell they were jockeying alot of what to do/what not to do the first season. Still one of the best "entire" season watches I've ever had of any show. Diggle and Felicity are some of the best support cast I think any superhero has had and his rogues gallery is pretty damn nice already.

I've got to say, maybe I just didn't know enough about GA, but the few comics I'd seen him in as a kid, he was probably my least favorite of DC heros, (yeah, I'd rank him under Vigilante and Wild Dog :lol ) but this show has made me an eternal fan of at the very least this version of Oliver Queen. Any fans know if theres a version thats close to this version in print? I think I've read hes in some video games, but thats not really my thing.

im currently rewatching season 1 myself!! and the new 52 starts out terrible, however they hired a new writer on issue #17 his name is Jeff Lemire and he is doing a great job.

Agreed on Jeff Lemire's take on GA is damn good! Definitely pick up that book where he starts writing it and also pick GA:The Longbow Hunters. Another great book in GA mythos.

Its funny you mention this, when I said I had very few GA comics, this is one I bought fresh off the newstands in the 80s. Not as much due to the fact that it was GA, but I was a huge Grell fan from the Jon Sable series. That man was an amazing writer/artists, too bad he pretty much disappeared after the 80s.

Is it the 15th yet...... the anticipation Is killing me now. As much as I loved Flash, I'm ready to see Oliver get back to work on the book for a few episodes

He is finished with the book- he is no longer using his father's list of names as a basis for his crusade.
