Yeah, I think this was one of the weaker episodes this season. Not terrible, but there were a lot of "ugh" moments. Most of them involving Roy/Sin/Thea. Pill popping Laurel was silly too.

Also, I am the only one not totally digging Manu Bennett as Deathstroke? I thought his costume (especially the mask) looked clunky and silly and his dialog about Blood being responsible for 4 dead men and fail me again and there will be 5 was outright groan worthy.

First this is my fav show over any other.
With that said the only downfall is the corny lines and soap opera type acting/drama.
Yes I groaned when Laurel was involded again bc so much happens to her where it doesnt seem realistic. Someone has to notice
Thea's acting is garbage and the on screen connection is far below Olivers and say Felicity.

No, when it was shown on the preview that he was going to have the new 52 style mask I thought it may look off, but I think it looked very cool in practice, more armor than mask, I'm guessing the carbon fiber pieces of the helmet are supposed to reflect some kind of high tech armor or maybe hes just extra fashionable.

Oh, that's why it looked silly. I don't follow the new 52 at all. I wish they kept his classic style mask, like the one on the island.

Aw man, I loved that scene, costume, dialogue and all. Personally, I'm loving Manu Bennet as Slade.

Overall though, yes, I thought it was maybe the weakest episode so far this season, and I thought both Laurel and Ollie were way too easily fooled at the end.

yeah, its not identical to the new 52, but you can see that here its more of an "Iron man" faceplate than the classic Deathstroke mask.

I think hes a great Slade, too. His voice in that kill scene was perfect.

I wouldn't say Ollie was easily fooled, I don't think he was just ever that sure of whatLaurel was peddling so it was easy for him to accept.

This Roy sidebar is all convenience at this point, theres just no way Ollie handles someone with that strength + that skillset solo.

I see Roy helping with Slade as Ollie teaches him "control", somehow getting "cured" after Slade is handled, and then becoming the actual comic Roy Harper since he and Ollie will have bonded by their training.

Just my guess anyways.

Great episode tonight love the death stroke stuff like the stuff with laurel tonight good stuff there.

For me, Ollie, Diggle and Felicity are the best part of the show. I also like Sara/Black Canary a lot too. Everyone else on the show I could take or leave. The younger cast (Thea, Roy, Sin), Moira, Laurel, Det Lance are all pretty disposable IMO and more often than not just get in the way.

For villains, I like Deathstroke as a character, but I haven't fully bought into Manu yet. I actually like Sebastian Blood more. I also wish they would bring back China White (?). She was a good villain too.

How long until Roy finds out Arrow's true identity? :lol

Was it weird to anybody else when Deathstroke pulled his sword away and was magically gone, despite Blood looking directly at him the entire time? Plus the time frame between the sword removal and his disappearance was quite o_O???
