OK, really liked the last episode and feel like we are back on track. I was worried there for a little while.

"Rupture" episode was ok but wasted Henry Allen.

"The Runaway Dinosaur"... the hell?
I didn't like how Speed Force was presented as some kind of caring God.
Not to mention it completely destroys the meaning of Barry not savin' Nora in the last episode of S1.
Zombie Tony was a terrible filler - out of place, tasteless and pointless.
Not gettin' The Three Flashes by the end of it was the final nail in the coffin.

Seriously, **** S2!!! :gah:

I'm interested by what you mean that it ruins the meaning of Barry not saving Nora? In the finale he didn't do it because his future self told him not to. He just feels horrible that he didn't do it, and that by doing so everything about the dimensions and breaches are his fault. Ronnie essentially died for nothing because he didn't save his mom.

I think with this episode, he gains some sort of closure.

But what I'm really interested is why they keep telling Barry to sit. There has to be a meaning when they all did it, except for Henry.

Yea, he can't save his mother. It would change so much. Just like his dad told him during their meeting in jail. Future Flash stopped himself.

Some things a hero has to endure.

It's not like he had an argument with his future self, one look at him was enough to understand.
He told his mother everything's fine and how much he loves her, she was happy said her good-bye.
THAT was a huge moment and a proper closure.
S2 raped it with "it's all my fault" nonsense and now Speed Force Nora.

I see what you mean. I can definitely agree with that. I took it more like Barry still can't get over it. We don't see it as much in S2 because he figured out Thawne killed his mother in S1. There isn't an obsession about it. But the intro is reason for me on why he can't get over it. He says he tries to get the man that killed his mother and in doing so, he created a singularity and opened a new portal. I think in this he feels like he got more connected with her. In the finale she was already dying and not much really was connected.

As for the caring God personality of the Speed Force, I agree that it's pretty weak.

Didn't see that death coming, but other than that, this episode fell flat for me. Right now, this season is nipping at the heels of S1 for top spot. It'll come down to the finale. I hope it's a good one....

Until next week, folks!

Well, how poetic..

Both parents killed by rival speedsters

Aside from that, I dunno... something isn't sitting right with me after the episode with Barry having his powers returned. It all just comes across as a convenient plot device to get his power back, but now he's a little spiritual hippieish... Maybe in my head I just saw him having an extra episode's break, and coming back more kick-ass. I'm just not seeing how one-on-one he can beat Zoom.
