I'm already prepared for next week's to be the worst yet. I'm not a musical guy at all

This last episode was pretty painful to watch.

Why is it that these superhero shows insist on having serious committed relationships end out of the blue for convoluted yet meaningless reasons.

For every step in the right direction they take two steps in the wrong one.
I just wish there was THREE times more of Jay... and that he looked like this:

Instead of this... eh:

I still wish they'd man up and pay off that vision of JWS Flash they had at the end of season 2. We have multiple Tina McGees, multiple Tricksters, multiple Julios, and Bellows is the mayor, so, why can't they do a crossover that gives us an update on where '90s Barry wound up? I still think it'd be cool as hell to have Hamill pull double duty and have this Trickster and '90s Trickster team up.

They won't do 90's Flash because they only see JWS as a father figure.
Havin' him as a goofy old Barry would confuse casuals too much.

Hamill is a Disney guy now, I doubt he'd do anything bigger than a cameo appearance.

Are there any medical superhero/fantasy programs out there? Seems to be most of these episodes are either caused by a supernatural villain of the week, or someone with tumour on the brain in a hospital seeing funny things.. I'm just imagining a musical episode from a genre hybrid.. shudder..

Musicals aren't my thing. While I didn't mind the episode, some of the people singing were cringe worthy. All I could think was "ok look, sometimes you gotta wear your big boy/girl pants and tell someone they can't sing very well and they're gonna do a voice over".

Is the episode even relevant to the current story line or is it purely a musical thing with no actual relevance towards plot? If it's the latter I'll just delete off the DVR.

There's a clarification of the relationship between Barry and Iris. Other than that....no.
