I'm glad you like it, Josh. The avatar version looks great!! I was going for a subtle wavy heat distortion over the face, but I can't judge how well it came out.

Definitely check out the "Action Shots" thread...I posted a very fiery Vader pic (although mine, as always, is Jedi Anakin with digital Sith eyes...although it's hard to see them this time).

Yeah, I saw that SL.... Nice work as always from you... I must say that you are getting better and better at it with each new figure.

And Carbo... I must have played with that hood for at least 45 minutes before I got it to look almost 85% like the shot on the box. (Hence the box still being in the Background ) But, I'm super happy that it looked so nice. Now, coupled with SithLord's fantastic Photoshop skills.... it looks the way I want it to!!

As for the hood, the water treatment makes sculpting the hood MUCH easier. Just use any kind of spray bottle. Personally, I'm used a thoroughly washed and cleaned-out Chloroseptic throat spray bottle (hey, it gets the job done!!!)

Thanks Guys... I love this new avi!!

So here are some pics of Ironman's Sleepy Hollow Walken before I box him up. It was a ROUGH sculpt to paint and I had to do a lot of work to make it look decent... But, in the end I think I did a good job with what I had. I know it's not film accurate, but I think it looks better that way. AND it's more creepy!

Looks sweet DA. Although I think the pallor of the skin detracts from your eye work. The pale blue eyes aren't as striking surrounded by the white skin. Definitely looks like a Tim Burton creation, though!!

Thanks Mikey...... And yes, I think you are right about that one. I kept trying to make it less white and the more I tried, the worse it got. So, i eventually found a middle ground and made sure that Ironman would be ok with it. It's my least favorite of the bunch that I did, but still a learning experience as well.

I wish the eyes could have been a little more open... would have made for a little more fun with some truly freaky eyes. The sculpt had narrow slits for eyes, and to make it even harder, the eyes themselves were rough as Hell.

It was a toughie.

Well, I got bored.... so I repainted the eyes on my LDD Jason. I also bloodied him up a little bit to make it a little more exciting. I repainted several areas on the face to give him a little more depth, but it's not a full repaint. Anyway.... Enjoy!

Thanks BC! I really need to get a tripod.... If anything just to take clearer pics of my work. I sift through so many fuzzy shots until I get one clear enough to post here, makes it hard to show anybody what I do....

Today, I'm painting another Evil Ash..... Pics will be up later tonight when he's finished!!

He looks amazing,really detailed!

Love all the blood and other details to the face really adds depth.The blood looks really nicely done though,looks real.

Although your first repaint of evil Ash was really excellent,this one tops it,and really shows how much better you have become.
Your new one looks a more life like.

And you have only been doing customs for half a year,and yet all your customs have got this profesional quality to them.
