It's funny what you said about him looking like a younger Arnie Les, when I painted mine I was worried that he looked too OLD as Arnie looked quite young in T2.

It would be cool if someone did some different movie customs from this though. That I'd love to see.

I'm dying to do a Last Action Hero figure (can't find the right light brown leather jacket) or a True Lies figure... .man I loved that film.

Glad people like it though :bow

You bet! That paintup looks great too! Man! You really brought him out! Bravo! And yeah, a True Lies Harry Tasker figure! Now, you realize, you HAVE to make an original Tom Arnold to go with him! :rock

Too much man!

Oh, I need to remind you of a head...Ripley!!! You had this amazing looking Ripley coming along, and were almost done??? Whatever became of her????

GIT R' DONE!

If anyone knows where you can get a light brown leather jacket as worn by Arnie in The Last Action Hero then please, let me know. :rock I've looked and looked... and there's just nothing.

Les... nice timing. I'm about to send out 6 painted Anakins, and I'm currently painting 3 Arnies and 3 Obi-Wans.... and after that I'll be spending a week or two doing some sculpting work that needs doing.

...and Ripley is one of the pieces I'll be finishing. Along with Hudson. :rock

oh, and if anyone knows of a way to get more hours in the day... please, let me know. (along with more fingers and extra hands)

Thanks :rotfl:lol:rotfl

for reference again... here's where Ripley and Hudson were up to last time

I'm glad people are liking the Arnie heads. (I had some problem with casting them so they're taking a little longer than they should to get out)

It would be cool if someone did some different movie customs from this though. That I'd love to see. I've been commissioned to give him a headband and long hair for a Conan sculpt... just need to find the time with everything else I'm doing.

Again... as with everything it's just about finding the time. The obvious thing to do as well is to give him floppy hair and fill his face out a little to get the T1 version.

Too much stuff to do in too little time...... :monkey2

Glad people like it though :bow

Darren, could you give me a little info on youre terminator figure please?im planning on getting one and want to get it to look just like that .:lol

what kind of clothes are those, are they avaible from any online stores?

what body is under it?

Thanks m8

well I was initially going to go for this look...

but I soon realised that unless I got the hair cast in a soft plastic/rubber it would get in the way of posing... so i MAY go for this look when she had it tied up at the back

which version is more iconic to you guys? I think I prefer the look of the hair down... seems more memorable from the first film to me, and gives lots of posing posibilities... BUT.... if you want to do anything from the end of the film, when she's running round the ship with the flamethrower and the sefl destruct countdown running... it has to be hair up

what do you guys think?

Darren, I know, and see, how busy you've been, but was wondering if you were ever to come up with anything for that Coburn/Flint?

You might want to wait to see what Hot Toys will be releasing in their Alien line this month, just in case they have a Ripley. (That way, you could choose the look that they didn't use.) But the hair down is definitely the more iconic look and the one I would prefer in general.

Hi Darren, so cool to see this project coming about.

Well, I think HT will make a hair down Ripley in two versions, Flight Officer and Lucky Star w Moebius suit, so we may never see a Ponytail Ripley, that is why I want a ponytail version.

Darren can always improve upon the HT hair down version when it comes out so I want a Ponytail Ripley...

I suppose hair down is more iconic, but I always thought she looked sexier with hair up... besides, if hair up is easier/cheaper to do...
But it's up to you Darren!

I guess I'll just have to pick a version (seeing as people have different ones that they want) and then maybe do another version after that. I'm just about finished with the latest 6 Anakins that I was painting, they should be ready to go later today maybe... then I'll be painting a couple of Obi-Wans, 6 Arnie's (including 3 full figures, and a couple of unpainted heads).... and then onto sculpting.

Things Im hoping to be sculpting at the same time (man these coming weeks are going to be testing..) are:

  • Private commissioned head - can't talk about it openly
  • Ripley
  • Hudson
  • 2 Padme bust resculpt commissions
  • Boromir (for myself)
  • Luke ANH Premium Format resculpt commission
  • John Lennon commission
  • ...and I'm sure there's a couple of things I've forgotten about off the top of my head

Evilface - this coming week... sorry for the delay
Ironman - how embarrassed do I feel right about now. I'd completely forgotten about that head  It's sitting here in one of the dozens of boxes I've been sent I have on my desk and around me.... and I forgot it was there. Oops. I'll try to fit it in with the sculpting stuff... make a mold and see if I can do something with it. :)
