Yeah, I also have the Anakin resculpt and it is simply fantastic.
I'm not yet happy with the paint apps, so I'll send it back to my buddy and see what he comes up with.
I'll post pics when I'm happy with the repaint.

can't wait to see abake! :rock

Small update, I got two full figure Aragorn customs finished today, repaint and clothes weathering. Might take a pic tomorrow morning. On to finishing these 6 Anakins & 6 Arnies now. (then doing some Obi-Wans, working on any resculpts I have in line.... an whatever's next)

the new Fellowship...

Hey Darren,

You still gonna do some 'The Terminator' Arnold sculpts?

aww thanks! I like that one too..... one of my earlier abstracts. With all the repaint/resculpt commissions i've got lined up I havent had any time to do any oils for several years now.... I've had to turn down several requests for portraits.... hopefully one day I'll be able to spend equal time on the figures and sculpting, AND the canvases :)

You know, you might even be able to make nice wallpaper art from those paintings, Darren. They really are nice. That abstract is a favorite of mine as well.

yeah I remember you saying that was your favourite when I first posted my stuff in this custom thread 14 months ago (is that all? feels WAY longer than that!). So it was really nice to hear somebody else say the same thing :)

You mean like desktop wallpaper? I hadn't thought of that... I think when I was first doing them I was thinking of making prints in frames, but I got sidetracked onto the sculpting and figure painting and haven't had time to do anything since.

I suppose a desktop image could be made from that... might be a bit busy for icons to sit over though? unless I lightened it or something.

Although having said that I've looked in the "show your desktop" thread.... and some people have REALLY busy desktops, so maybe I'm wrong. I always have really simple clutter free desktops like this

*does a screen grab*

(it's two 19" widescreen monitors side by side, so you have to imagine a line down the middle where the monitors sit next to each other) The icon on the bottom right opens up the 'desktop' folder... so I can keep all my icons and things hidden from view. I hate busy desktops, lol

Thanks for your comments about the painting though :bow

I just recieved the Arnold head sculpt and i have to say anyone who oredered it will be pleased with it. Great Job!!

Hey Darren,

Did you ever so any alterations to your Arnold sculpt? I know there was talk of a Jack Slater from Last Action Hero and not to mention I'd love Harry Trasker from True Lies.....both needs hair variations.....

Yeah, let me add to the Arnold headsculpt comments by saying, WOW! Your tweaks to an already cool head, just are WONDERFUL! It is funny how many little things you did here. I have both, and to see them side by side is interesting. Your's is much more younger Arnie to me. The more Conan, Commando, Predator era Arnie. And yes, it does tweak out to a better T2 one, but I still like the original one I have on my figure, that is painted etc., so I doubt I will change him out now. (especially with all that minigun action all futzed with and where I want it)
Your's is better to me as non-glasses Arnie, as it has more to see without all that obstruction. Thanks for that!
That neck change makes it too. Much less toylike and more dynamic, former Mr. Universe. Not sure how I will use him, Dutch, Commando, somebody. Hell, even another custom Conan! I will not let him go to waste! You can rest assured of that!

Great stuff!
And I got my own Legolas too, so now, I have to make a figure! Too cool!!!!

Thanks Darren. (and thanks DrJediSith for his involvement in procuring these!)

I'm glad people are liking the Arnie heads. (I had some problem with casting them so they're taking a little longer than they should to get out)

It's funny what you said about him looking like a younger Arnie Les, when I painted mine I was worried that he looked too OLD as Arnie looked quite young in T2.

It would be cool if someone did some different movie customs from this though. That I'd love to see. I've been commissioned to give him a headband and long hair for a Conan sculpt... just need to find the time with everything else I'm doing.

I'm dying to do a Last Action Hero figure (can't find the right light brown leather jacket) or a True Lies figure... .man I loved that film.

Again... as with everything it's just about finding the time. The obvious thing to do as well is to give him floppy hair and fill his face out a little to get the T1 version.

Too much stuff to do in too little time...... :monkey2

Glad people like it though :bow

I've always thought that was the most life like Arnie sculpt ever. I must have missed it when you offered casts for these Darren so if there are any more available I'd love to get one.
