Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Tell her that's fine, they can pay the shipping both ways and then pay it both ways again when the next customer returns the same statue for the same issue.

I wouldn't accept that head sculpt. The whole point of the pose is that he is looking AT the helmet.

Though if you can accept the body you might ask again that they just replace the head. They might go for that.

i did, she said no. they are such asses sometimes. its always the same old line too. like robots. its funny that i can point out that i have spent thousands of dollars, and all im asking for is an attempt to send a new one that might be better and they say no. i mean, its a head. its tiny. i really HATE that i am forced to support these jerks. i really do think they have some of the best passive aggressive employees on the planet. to refuse to send me a new head is total BS.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

and so it begins........the part that pisses me off is her response about the eyes....read on....

Thank you for your email. I wanted to fallow up with you today regarding your Darth Vader Mythos statue. After taking the time to review your photos and comparing to our display on hand. I see that the orange application on this figure is consistent to our display on hand. In regards to the paint application for the eye, please know that these are hand painted and as such there will be paint variations that vary from figure to figure. With that being said I do not feel that I can send you a replacement that would be a vast improvement to the body and head that you have now.

The orange might be debatable, but those eyes are not. Time for a return and reorder.

Still been debating to get Maul may soon not sure yet. Very nice piece indeed though.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Got mine today and I guess I got lucky since mine has no issues at all! The orange is even pretty damn close to the box art and production pics. It's a very impressive piece! Very well painted for a mass produced statue. There are only a few details I want to punch up a bit more and only one thing I want to correct and that's the rocker switches on the chest box....the first should be white and the rest should be gray since they clearly based the suit on the original Star Wars. Other than that the statue is a total home run for me. Oh I don't remember who but someone said the two mics that go on each side of his mouth aren't there.....they are they just positioned them differently on the production piece. They are just below his mouth in the lower half of the helmet.

Got my replacement body in for my Maul a couple days ago and snapped these quick shots of him before I put him away with the rest of the collection. It really is a nice piece and since I don't have the PF, this will do nicely for me. Enjoy :wink1:

I would not say you got lucky. BLS got unlucky. Most everyone else has received their piece with no issues. Congrats on getting this very cool piece.

Can't wait for the Power of the Force arm to get here.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

SS is sending me a replacement piece! :rock I hope it turns up in good shape.

No problems with customer service at all.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

A paint chip on the helmet. But that was it. The eyes I wouldn't say are perfect, but I can live with them.

I think physical flaws SS will work with the customer more then just opinion based flaws. There's a lot of grey area in the quality based complaints... even if it is somewhat justified like in BLS's case.

Hey guys,

The lightsaber handle on mine is bent so that when the sabers are inserted, it looks more like a boomerang than a lightsaber. Any recommended fixes for this? Blow dryer to heat up the handle and straighten them out. Any recommendations woudl be appreciated.

Also, the lightsaber handle is all scuffed up with black marks. Are these supposed to be there to simulate battle damage? Anyone else have these marks? The handle looks clean in the photos on SS website.

Place it in Hot boiling water and try and bend very gently but not to much or it could break. The black marks sound like a paint screw up. I would just touch it up with paint.

i go through this bs ever other order. return it and get a full refund. i bet they try and make you pay for return shipping tho. and just wait until the correct arms are done and order again. there is no winning with ss so i think that is your best option.
