I am, you'll notice the mini-saber in front of him too :lol

You are right, it is futile to compare the two... but I do wish his scale was more in line with the majority of 1/6 figures. But regardless the Vader is an awesome piece!

Was that the mini saber from me? can't remember!

enjoy!

Yeah dude, you included it free on top of an already awesomely low price! Still one of the best deals... and one I really appreciate :cool

Thanks guys! Yeah, he is amazing... Could not be happier. And Carbo.. I will probably fix the lips and touch up a few spots here and there on the face, redo the eyes and add the body tats. Water treatment and that is it...

This is really a grand slam for SSC and a repaint is not necessary, but I can't really help myself when it comes to this stuff. There is always something I can improve slightly... or die trying. :lol

Glad you like him DA! Its really a badass figure!!! Now we just need a...

Medieval F'n Kurgan!!!

Ahh thats right!!! I might as well have gave it all to you for free. jeeezzzzz:eek:

At least it went to someone that appreciates the figure.(still lookin for the ep6 version)

Less than 12 hours and already fiddling, based upon the illustration (Anatomy for the artist, Jeno Barcsay),I shortened the arms, pics shows Mr.Maul holding the removed section....

I'm very curious to see how this looks, Hurricane -- its something I've wanted to do with several SS figures but never did. I don't mind Maul's arms as much as I did Luke's...but you know, any improvement... :D

Here's 2 more close ups... I'm obsessed...

Intense Maul

who bought my custom maul? ??? any comparison pics available? Got mine today, love it,'cept boots n monkey limbs.....

i got ur custom Maul Hurricane and i love it. it's a tough comparison tho. urs has MUCH better boots and gauntlets but the bendy hands have trouble keeping contact w/ the metal contacts u put in his hand for the power source that runs the EL saber. u used the huge Hasbro head w/ the fierce expression, and while i like the fierce look better than the SS placid look, it really doesn't look like Parks like the SS does. i like the SS detailed hand sculpts too. i haven't had a camera for awhile but got one recently and will try and have some comparison pics up tommorrow, but like i said it'll be a tough call, since other than the boots, gauntlets and light up EL saber, urs looks mainly like the Hasbro fig.

i'd LOVE it if i could replace the EL saber i have of urs w/ a Cathode double saber tho!! have u made a cathode one for Maul? if so i'd love to get one from ya, or would it not work w/ the same power source u placed inside my Maul?

My God, you're right!! Too bad the boots don't allow for use of this evolutionary -- nay, revolutionary -- leap. Thanks for posting this. The boots are so inflexable, I don't know when, if ever, I would have stumbled onto that.

You don't suppose... could all SW figures feature this function yet remain hidden (and thus essentially useless) inside their rigid boots?

it seems that the SS bods have had that ankle for awhile. i went and checked some of my older figs and they have it. my Home Mulder has it. think the oldest i have are the Young Frankenstein figs. i'll check those later. looks like i might be swapping some rigid SS boots for some New Line miniatures or DID boots.

Got mine today and thank goodness it's one with all black on the top lip(like the one in Wor-Gar's pics above). I'm absolutely 100% satisfied and this will be the first 1/6 figure I've received from SS that doesn't get sent to a customizer. Great work, Sideshow! :chew

Rock on Brent!! That's awesome news! I know I was very worried I would get a huge red lip but mine was very minimal...

Oh and have you checked the customs thread lately? I posted a good bit of pics there a few days ago of your Obi Wan and it's progress. Not much happening now, but I should get a little more done soon. I have to travel out of town this weekend and won't be able to paint.... :monkey2

Thanks for the update, Josh. Looks like he's getting close. Just wondering, do you think I'll be able to have him in hand by Christmas? (Fingers crossed).

I don't think this one has the "monkey arm" syndrome. So for me that wasn't even something I worried about. I was more concerned with the tats.

So I just noticed this...where are the "silver buttons" on Maul's "belt"?

maul2adj.jpg

One of the silver "buttons" on my Maul was tweaked, and it suddenly hit me -- I don't remember these here.

I checked all my reference, and not one picture has those silver buttons on Maul's belt, not even the museum costume. If you look real close, you can see little, tiny black "buttons" on his belt, but they are not large nor silver.

Now, for you customizers who want accuracy -- will you remove them/paint them black or leave 'em be?
