Doesn't help if your impatient...

:lol That's very true. If my final display was set up I may feel the same way, but before then I guess I can wait for in-hand pics and a good price on Maul down the line. The great thing about this being open edition

I would absolutely love to have this in my collection and I could really care less about the ES (to me it's inconsequential-- I buy for me not the possible rarity of a piece or an undetermined future value)... unfortunately it's more about the $$$... The PF price is my limit and the 1/6th are already moving in that scary direction. I'll soon be priced out of this hobby.

Very sad, but true. You won't be the only one, sir.

I know the price is high but I have the urge to put this on Flex. It looks incredible and being a big Maul fan it would be perfect in my collection. Has anyone order this yet or is planning on ordering?

I really really like this piece, but I'm saving bits and pieces of $$$ for the Obi-Wan LSF so it won't be such a big hit when the time comes.

I agree w/ Neil though especially the end part about being priced out. Earlier this year I sold a lot of my figures and have to majorly stick with SW collectibles w/ only a few non SW here and there

I have not pre-ordered this yet and I'm still considering. It was suppose to ship in June and it looks like it's been delayed to Sep. I hope SS is making this piece perfect as it should be at 2K.

Well you could always wait for impressions and in-hand pics from the first shipment since this won't sell out.

Darth Maul looks very cool and is my favorite one of the LSF that we have seen yet. 2000$ is too much though considering that Maul was only in one Star Wars movie. He is an awesome character but these figures aren't cheap, so I am saving for the one and only LSF I will ever buy

INDIANA JONES!!!:whip bring him soon Sideshow!

Any time frame tip on the Indiana Jones ?

No nothing yet. The only proof that he is infact on the way is the in progress picture on the back of the Sideshow 2012 calendar. Also in a thread about the Wolf predator LSF on facebook, Sideshow replied that dreams do come true, when they answered a question about Indy.

We can only hope to se him now at the San Diego Comic-Con

I've had it on flex pay and have 2 payments left....:) Can't wait to see this in the collection... I'll be sure to post pics when he arrives, but we still have some time!

Indeed, it is a beautiful piece.

I read back about the last 20 - 25 pages and have to say I think some people are getting a little confused comparing mass produced pop-culture totems to "art". Neither one is guaranteed to rise in value (regardless of edition size) and investing in something like this and banking on its value rising in the secondary market is folly. I do get that because of the open edition size you're pretty much guaranteeing yourself a steep loss should you have to sell but... what is anyone doing dropping $2k on a huge Darth Maul statue if their position is so precarious? Leave the money in the bank, then? :dunno

I get the initial sticker shock with it, but 1:6 collectors, if they added-up their collections, would probably find they paid far more that $2000.00 for them cumulatively. As someone posted a while back, if you want one piece with very high impact, you go for something like this (or wait for your grail character to come out and grab that) as opposed to say 8 or 10 Hot Toys Iron Men. The price is really relative to whatever else you're collecting or could be collecting.

Finally went for Maul! Ordered for $1,800 shipped!

Bring on Vader next!

Wow where did you find it at that price with the shipping if you don't mind me asking?

I'm going to be getting one of these eventually. Just have to wait till I have the spare scratch for the down payment.
