How many points did you spend? Did you decide it was worth spending your points on this piece, despite the fact that this means you won't get points from this item?

You know what i *****ed up, i forgot about that. I decided that i will limit my collecting to certain LSF and Cinemaquette pieces.

i will have a total of 5 statues....CM Predator, CM Vader, SSC Predator Maquette EX, Wolf LSF :)pray: this comes out awesome), and Maul LSF. I think i will be happy with these for a long time.

That sounds like a good plan. Well, if you don't plan on getting many items then maybe it won't matter as much that you won't get points from this?

Else I think you should just contact Sideshow about it.

We've just added this awesome piece to the Rebelscum Photo Archive.

Darth Maul looks soooo amazing and kick ***. :drool:drool:drool Wow he came out really good we need more pictures of the piece. I think now I will save up for this piece. Just would be the center of my collection. I'm like in wow with the pictures i'm seeing so far of him. :goodpost::goodpost::goodpost:

Damn just packed him up to go back just can't except the fact of the red details
Missing from the horns and the poor paint application. The mythos darth has a better paint app than this $2000 dollar piece. Moments like this that kills the hobby for me atleast what a disappointment. Life goes on RIP Darth Maul LSF

Gotta say I love Sideshow's product offerings, but this line is just plain bad. Oversized boots, weird out of proportion bodies and what is with the soft sculpt detail? I mean the head alone on this would be the size of a large grapefruit, so there s no excuse. Look at the creases around his eyes, it looks like it has been cast out in wax. Then there is the paint... Simply horrific and at $2K there ain't no excuse. I hope that they take comments seriously, as these are meant to be centrepiece items, of which you only buy your favourite character. Come on Sideshow these are woeful, sort it out.

There is mix reviews on this piece. All over my Facebook I see many happy with the piece. Some of the problems have been it has shipped and came broken which is the main problem I read. But here reading that the paint sucks and isn't worth the price. Still will be looking for more pics from people but so far what I have seen with the people who received it perfect looks amazing. I hope to read more positive reviews. Hate to see a piece I want so badly turn out like ****.

The point is that at this price the gloves should be leather, or at the very least pleather. The boots should also be fabric and stitched, over moulded hands and feet. It really is not that hard a piece to make, certainly easier to work on than 1:6 scale for example. Clothing at smaller scales is far more fiddly and requires tailoring in fractions of a millimetre. At 1:2 scale you would basically be dealing with toddler sized clothes, more or less. There is no excuse, the fact that these are simply blown premium format statues at 5 times the price is not right. Like I say I love SSC product, but these are overpriced and underspecc'd.

I am still waiting on my LCS to get mine. After all the problems I've been hearing I had SS do a QC check, probably won't make damn difference.

I don't own this item... I did have it on flex-pay for so long I got tired of waiting, and had SSC use my funds on other items... but, so far from what I see it's so so.. Not putting Maul down, but some parts look awesome, and other look meh. It's gone from these will be genius, to just looking like bigger PF's. Now maybe it just looses something in the photo but his light saber looks mammoth almost comical... His eyes look like painted eyes... I think SSC is making a boat load on these at $2000.00. Again maybe you have to see it to appreciate it??? I'm just not seeing $2000.00 worth of greatness.....

I gotta say I too was guilty of loving this piece 2 weeks ago , but being a big time darth maul fan I believe my judgement was in question. I didn't want to except the fact that the paint is average at best and then realizing is missing accurate red details on the horns. Don't get me wrong its not all negative the sculpt tailoring is nice well done, but like I said it has certain issues you can't really notice in pictures. So I ask myself can I be happy paying $2085 for this darth maul with the current issues. I can't so he's going back

They have to be making a killing on these... I'm not seeing a lot of "man, this is SO worth the money that I spent!" enthusiasm from those that picked it up. I'm not say that some don't feel that way, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of these sent back. I know form experience, that you can spend the first week of owning a very expensive piece ignoring the flaws and amping the praise more than you should. By week two, when I started being completely honest and objective, I was looking for the customer return email address... Once again though, if you love it, that's great! :)

I understand the high price in relation to a 1:4 statue. I can even understand the complaint of the lack of red rings around his horns (which prior to some nitpicks pointing it out, I never knew existed).

The complaints I don't see are the bad or so so paint apps? It looks neatly painted, deep black and solid orangy red paint, nicely done eyes. So where is the paint issue that some have mentioned? I don't see it. Most of the statue is covered in tailored clothes, so just how much paint appreciation can be on this statue?

Someone please explain.:dunno

Exactly. Totally agree.
