How about congradulations!? These guys spent alot of money on something that THEY like. People have to stop being bitter. Knowing that you can't get one yourself is not a reason to ruin something on somebody. It looks great! I don't see a problem at all. CONGRADS to the lucky ones that got this LEGANDARY statue!

Stunning piece.
Pics here never do the larger pieces justice because everything becomes the same size.

I'm sure if I walked through a house and came across a 1/2 size Darth Maul of that pic quality looking at me, I'd do a double take and be like, 'holy sh@t!!' :D

I couldn't agree more! I especially love the " I just boxed it back up " comments with no photos or proof that they actually got it. I will definitely take photos of my LSF Maul when it arrives even if I do decided to send it back.

You know what if you purchased and you are happy, then good for you, I am truly pleased that you like the piece. I should make my point a little clearer I feel. I am really talking about this line as a whole. Lets face it if they can't get DM right and he's basically black and red, what hope is there for human characters? Any bad paints on a piece this size will stand out a mile. Look at the head paint again. Every figure, bust and statue of DM to date has featured the tattoo pattern scribed in, essentially to make production easier as a guide for painting. At this scale there really is no excuse for the deep set scribings. There is no way that SSC will be churning these out in their thousands, so find a better, less obtrusive paint method. And again his gloves and boots should be fabric over moulded parts, not cast out resin. I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade and it has nothing to do with not being able to afford a piece like this. I am just dumbfounded that a company with the pedigree of SSC think it is acceptable to charge $2K for $800 worth of product.

Amen! Agree with this and some people just need to shut their mouths. Everyone has a opinion and people need to respect that. Even haters have opinions but they need to tone it down and let it go.

What difference does it make when it looks exactly like fabric..even though its painted?:dunno If you or anyone else never made mention of it, I would have always thought the boots and gloves were leather or something similar to it. I find some just have to find something to complain about.

I guess at $2K, its easier to point out difficiencies, but the difficiencies I see, outside of the red rings around the horns aren't difficiencies at all, just preferences.

All about personal taste are you happy with paying $2000 for a half scale
Darth maul LSF thats mostly fabric , with the fact they didn't add accurate red detials on the horns , The paint app is mostly orange not really red in pictures it comes across as red which is not. The paint looks flat & dull on my piece atleast with sloppy black paint on some of the orange parts. Regardless if it didn't have those black marks on the orange paint the fact its missing the accurate red details on the horns and the paint is really orange than red . It's being returned, I have the darth maul mythos and the paint looks better than the LSF I have the darth maul life size bust and the paint looks better as well and they both have the red circle on the horns too.
Again is about personal taste if your happy congrats its still impressive but not for me

That's from your collection krueger? How about a photo or two of all 3 together for color and scale comparison.

Fine if some of you love this statue despite its obvious flaws.

But to say that people who are critical of this piece can't afford it is laughable.

Absolutely.. Everyone has a right to their opinion... I can and could buy this statue, but that's not the point. The point is with what I've seen so far it's not worth $2000.00. A fact no, my opinion, yes! Maybe SSC will hit it out of the park with some of their LSF, but right now I'm not ready to give them $2000.00 for this one...Sorry if this isn't what some folks want to hear...oh well... I think the Mythos statue rocks over this version.

Maul is not my favorite of characters, but this piece looks fantastic. I have to agree that the saber handle looks a tad large, but only something us discerning collectors will notice. I tell myself that 2K is too much, but if/when they offer the character I'm waiting on, I'll probably cave in.

It's to late already boxed up the darth maul LSF
I do have pics of maul LSF with the iron man mark 3 LSF

The photos with Iron Man do nothing for comparing colors with the 1:1 bust and 1:5 Maul you have. How about you take the portrait out of the box and put a photo with at least the Maul bust.

I have mine displayed in my photo studio, and every day I lose time while I admire it. Worth $2000? IMHO, yes. It was worth every cent.

Is is the same statue that we saw at SDCC and couldn't wait to pre order? No rings around the horn at the Comic con. We had no clue what was underneath the clothing. The boots were big then as well. It still looks the same as the day we saw it. Some people had flaws on the statue they purchased. Some love it and some hate it. Now that our forum buddies say its not worth 2k we doubt the purchase. Make your own decision because down the line if someone offer it to the collector who hate it so much for 1650 they will take it in a heart beat.

So is the Iron Man mark III worth its price.....Now look at the paint job inside the closed fist.....pretty crappy i bet........also why couldnt they light up.....every statue made has a flaw......I can bet

Your pics was the reason i purchased this LSF....lol

IM was made from the same molds as the study maquette for the movie. That in itself is worth the price of admission to me. Once you cover up mauls big *** boots and non proportional legs with the robe, he doesn't look so bad. 2k is a lot of cheese for a mostly cloth statue though.

But it still had flaws and it was about 2200 shipped to the door.. come on man if you say 2k should be a masterpiece, you cant over look that the paint is crappy even if its in a spot no one will notice when you take pictures.
