That is pretty sweet looking, tom! :D

Thanks!

I hope it will look even better when my replacement Maul gets here and his saber actually lights up. I got an automated response that said they were running five days behind. So it will probably be the second half of next week before I get my return label, and maybe another week before I get my replacement. So two weeks from now I will be a happy camper.

Of course, the last return I did, they didn't automatically send me a return label, it was supposed to be generated and sent by FedEx and it didn't happen. I called and e-mailed Sideshow a few times and they said that they would request another label from FedEx and it still didn't work. I called a third time and then I finally got the label, but it had been about two weeks of waiting before I could even send the thing back, and I hope that's not the case this time. I don't mind changes when they make things work faster or smoother, but that was definitely NOT the case with the new return shipping label method. My fingers are crossed that when they finally get to my return through the five day backlog that I won't have another problem getting my label.

EDIT: I think it was actually UPS that was supposed to provide me with the label, not FedEx. Just realized that...

Well tom, best of luck. It sucks when you get something and it isn't right. Especially when it means something special to you.

Hi, new guy here.

Just curious for those that have Maul already, what is the size of the base?

Is it the same size in diameter as say Luke/Yoda or Fett PF?

I have one on the way, and I am trying to decide if I have enough space for it. Thanks!

My son broke my tape measure, so I can't give you exact dimensions. But the base itself is larger than the Luke/Yoda base. On top of that, Luke/Yoda are centered on the base and don't stick out past the edge, whereas Maul's saber arm and the saber itself stick out quite a ways past the edge of the base. I would guess that the footprint of the base is about 10 or 11 inches in diameter, and the bottom saber blade stretches out at its farthest about 8 more inches. So the total depth is probably around 18 inches at the widest point.

Beautiful shot T...

This piece came out truly magnificent, far better than it looked in the protos, the espression and essense of Maul is there in human form, and menacing at that. Congrats to everyone who's getting one...

Thanks! That gives me an idea...also your pictures are awesome! A preview of whats to come makes the wait that much harder though!

Roron snuck in while I was fiddling with Maul last night, lol. He is now on his way to the Detolf shelf in my office along with the other animated maquettes.
