Thanks to Tom, I had to check if the sabers worked and thankfully, it did. These are the best pics I could take without too much lighting in order to get the full effect of the sabers.

Josh, big question, was the light function working on your Maul, sounds like there's been a fair ammount of failure incidents amongst the board, I'm just looking for a little hope that he'll get here next week and be ok.

Mine works fine. It's just not that bright much like Vader because of the red and the time of day. However, when I tried it in my room with the lights off and the shades closed it looked really good. It's a fantastic piece and I wish my crappy pics of this item could show it off better.

well to make room for Maul I have to get rid of my "Miscellaneous shelf" which has PF exclusives, MR scaled lightsabers, etc. Here's my final salute to the shelf...12"ers will be moved to that spot to make room for Maul.

Yeah, Josh, I also wish my pics could do this piece justice. Hopefully, we'll get more pics on this thread that will show him off.

Do you have a tripod?

No, I need to get one. I was thinking of taking him outside with the doily to take a pic just for grins.

With this new camera 99% of the time I'm quite happy with how my pics come out. I'm just not getting what I want with Maul but that may be more to do with how I want to do this piece justice.

One thing that really does suck about this PF ( I love it other than this ) is the no AC adapter issue. I keep my PF's in acrylic cases so eiher Maul's saber does not get light or I have to remove the top of the case every time I turn it on and off.

See I like the no AC deal cause it would cause more issues trying to display it and have it lit from time 2 time.

Josh,

No it would not because you still have the battery option. No AC at all makes it a pian for some of us that use cases.

just opened up Maul. freakin' sweet. the light-up feature works too. superb job SS!

I would have personally rathered an AC adapter option as well, batteries need replacing, but I agree Josh that it does make it easier to display (with the light on), if you are no where near a power point. But, that's what SS should have given us, options.:D

I understand. Even if I had a case I think I would still like to use the batteries.

Ewwww Josh, unhealthy Maul fascination!?!?!? :maul :maul :maul

With batteries on things like this, I get freaked that I'll forget about them and after years the acid will bust through and ruin it. I ALWAYS keep the battery port empty and just try to rig a plug some how.
