I would imagine sometime this week, probably a manual process and with all the Comic Con stuff, they'll be playing catch up this week.

I've got plenty of cash on my CC so it can hit whenever, but be nice to get it out of the way, unless they're going to waive it, that'd be fine :)

They always take like 5-6 days for stuff to show up on my accounts.

Good to know, I'm used to dealing with pre-orders... don't remember the last time I bought something that I had to pay for (even in part) right away.

Ok, I can't really tell but does this bust have glass eyes or are they painted on like the previous bust.

Looks like your right, I found some bigger pics on Rebelscum and they do look painted ,this would be the first time the SS painted eyes look like they have some life in them for me...just hope the Production piece will be the same as the proto...

This bust looks amazing as is :rock :rock

Admittedly, I haven't gotten a human 1:1 bust yet with normal eyes, Maul and Palpatine are both Sith eyes without the details human eyes have. I remember seeing pictures where the detail on the Terminator 1:1 looked pretty nice in production, so maybe these will turn out close to that.

I don't own the T2 bust... but looking at this image I would guess that is a glass eye, not part of a solid sculpt. Wonder if there is any chance we'll see something like this in production? It would be odd to use it here, but not on Vader... that is of course if I'm correct in my assumption this is not a painted eye.

The terminator had glass eyes I believe or something along those lines, it wasn't just painted on like all the other Sideshow Bust Eyes have been in the past.

yes, and that small detail adds so much more soul and life to these busts and takes them to the next level, I still don't understand why sideshow doesn't go this route with their busts, glass eyes can't possibly jump the price that much the T2 bust wan't crazy priced and it had glass eye...

I dont't know how that bust was constructed...but maybe since other parts (like the metal skull) were inserted it wasn't as big of a deal to also add the eyes?

i checked out the eyes on Vader and even up close, perhaps it was the lighting, but i couldn't tell if they were glass or paint... they really looked that good.

Grievous's eyes looked incredible however from SDCC 08 but never really lived up to the prototype.

Either way, from the pics from the show, I am happy with how the painted eyes turned out I just would have loved them to be glass, a lot can go wrong with painted eyes in the production process but I can't see too much changing with glass eyes from proto to production.

I think it's simply a matter of cost -- not just the cost of the eyes themselves, but the difficulty of doing them properly in a factory environment (especially since we know that SS doesn't have employees permanently stationed at the factories making sure they do things properly). I personally think they should do it, mind you.

I am fairly certain that both the Arnold 1:1 bust and Predator 1:1 are both made with glass eyes. Especially with Predator, was it not a selling point that they used the same contacts on the bust that the actor used in the movie?
On this bust, they look great, but I have a feeling it is painted...

This was simply THE piece of the Con for me; it was a must-have! :rock

To the best of my knowledge the eyes are not glass, they definately didn't look to be in person; but they were expertly painted -- now on to production pieces. :angelsmil

Those new, bigger photos actually make it look more like Sebastian Shaw. Good-looking piece overall.
