I'm not so sure that "I knew what I was getting into" as you say, dao2. The pictures on SSCs website looked great to me. The pose isn't the issue. It's the details, or lack thereof. They missed somethings which if they had done right wouldn't make me want to destroy this statue with a hammer. As long as you don't look too closely it's an okay piece. ��

Is there detail on the site that's missing? If so call and ask for a full refund, fight with em. It is essentially false advertising if they are putting up a nicer piece then they ship. If it's as on the site then you can still return, but you'll owe shipping both ways ><

What I'm trying to say seems to elude you or perhaps I'm not making myself clear; If I had seen this figure in person before purchasing it, I wouldn't have bought it. There are things that I noticed once in hand that seem sub-par. Again, there are details that could have been done better, which I've mentioned in prior posts. I'm unhappy with some of the production choices made on this piece, and I won't spend anymore money shipping it back. I just won't make the same mistake again. Wait, is this forum for positive opinions only?!

This Vader PF is clearly not what I was expecting with the way too tall and unnecessarily complicated base, the weird pose, the huge edition size. I'll give you the fact that the saber looks better than on the old one. But otherwise I don't feel this is a definite improved version over the old one and neither, what I wanted in my collection: a very good 1/4 Vader. I can understand what dao2 says when he talks about this PF. Congrats to those who think this is exactly how and what they have wanted though. I hope HT will make some day a 1/4 OT Vader. Or XM, if they keep a good pose and decent accuracy.

Yes. Pretty much.
One guy stood in front of it for the longest time and just laughed and laughed. I heard some comment from him like 'nothing like being subtle'
I think he thinks it's full of bling (I had all the lights on).

I am surrounded by people who think I'm nuts. They just don't get it.

I took my old busted lightsaber & clipped off the blade. The working lightsaber is great, but the way it hangs out there (like a broken toe, waiting to be stubbed again) freaks me out. I don't have a cabinet big enough for this thing. Anyway, I like it.

I'm pretty happy I didn't get this one now that I'm seeing these pics. The head almost looks a bit detached! Weird....

It just doesn't look like a definitive 1/4 scale. I'd be very curious to see what HT comes up with. I'm a statue guy, but I would hold out to see what they do compared to the SS here.

It's true if you like it like me then great if not then great. Fortunately I can get the HT if I want but I'm interested in the Legendary too.

Once my shelf lights comes it will be fantabulous. I'm talking about the red LEDs to light up my custom cabinet. He'll look greater in there lol

Anyway it's Vader to me. All arguments are valid.

I POd Jango just cuz it looks cool and will look great next to my Boba. I have no clue how accurate it is but I like it just like my Vader.

Vader is worth it for me as is so that's just it we all either think its or not. Design is in the eye of the beholder, so let us vent or cheer. Sheesh I even order the Sandy after some destroyed it but I like it.

Can't wait to get muh shelf up for you guys to see.

Saw this new Vader PF at the Disneyland Star Wars Launch Bay. Gotta say I am a HUGE Vader fan but SS really missed the boat on this one. It looks terrible in person. Very cheap and not at all accurate. What the hell is with the weird ring/ridge around the bottom of the neck on the helmet. Hugely disappointed.

Hmmmm.... I gotta say, I have several Vader pieces in my home including Sideshow, Koto, GG, and Hot Toys and THIS Vader when compared in person to all of those is my grail. My only complaint is the logistics of the lite-up features on the belt and the control panel on the chest.

To be overly dissappointed seems a bit much but as I say it's ok to feel that way I just can't imagine feeling that way about this PF.

While it will never bother me personally I think I'm going to get as much reference material as I can and see just how bad SS missed the boat as a few have claimed.

For people who have purchased it there's far more happy with it than unhappy.
