Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

SS >XM Apoc > CW > BvS > Doctor Strange is how I see it. Reading granny's peach tea leaves is not an exact science.[emoji6]

My list would go: Doctor Strange > SKWAD > Civil War >> Deadpool > X-Men >>> BvS

I haven't seen Deadpool and it's such a wildcard I couldn't guess where I'd rank it.

SQUAD> Xmen> Bvs >Civil War>Doctor Strange>Deadpool

Hard to place BVS though

DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I started to do it but then I realised that it's kind of hard to judge when you've only seen one of them :lol

God help us if BvS isn't last though...

Smith is just playing Will Smith and not Deadshot, which I think was most of our fears when he was cast.

Certainly was my main concern. From the trailers we've seen, it looks like a valid concern.

Was there ever any doubt? I guess I'll have to rank movies now too, to show you all how it's done:

X-Men (X-Men! Saves the day! Saves the day!) > Suicide Squad = Civil War > Deadpool > Dr. Strange > the next Adam Sandler movie > Snyderverse

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

To me Deadshot is like most of Will Smith's characters. Cocky, arrogant and full of bravado.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I guess I group Will Smith into that category with Tom Cruise where they basically play the same 'character' over and over again with just different names. Is his Deadshot really all that different from Agent J? And the earlier trailers certainly make him out to look like a good guy that's done some bad things for the right reasons. Deadshot's a mercenary. Deathstroke's a mercenary. They do bad things for cash. They have families and other reasons they're doing that they are doing, but they are still bad guys. I think casting Smith is going to make them to want to make him the redeemable bad guy with a heart of gold. Is it too much to ask for stone cold killers only doing the 'right thing' because they've got a bomb planted in their heads? :lol
