Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

To me Deadshot is like most of Will Smith's characters. Cocky, arrogant and full of bravado.

Exactly- he fits that character- gee maybe why they picked him?? apparently people don't know what the ****** they are talking about when they say Will plays the same character in every movie- guess RDJ doesn't ,etc..

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I don't mind cocky DS.

But I remember some people wanted nihilistic DS :lol

This. Deadshot was never a cocky, "bad-***" with "you all jokers must be crazy" lines. He tried to kill his abusive father and ended up killing his beloved brother. His personality is like Deathstroke's just with the added "death wish" element. Floyd's a seriously messed up and dark character, not a "funny guy". New 52 did make him more "relaxed", but comic Lawton has little to no resemblance to what we've seen of Smith's version.

Now, I don't mind it as he still retains some bits of his personality and I trust Ayer. But, to say that "people don't know what the **** they're talking about" when they state that they want a darker, less "funny" Deadshot who's not so much like Smith's other characters, is not true.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I wish I knew more about deadshot, but everything I've seen of him was pretty 2 dimensional. I have read the first 3 vols of the new 52 suicide squad and I don't even remember him if he was in there. I'm pretty sure he was a main team member. I did see assault on arkham. Will Smith seems pretty similar to that portrayal. I think he's a likeable actor who does good with the smart ***, bad *** thing. It seems like the perfect (lesser known) character to let the actor take over.

New 52. That's why he's two-dimensional. :lol

Yeah, well, Nu52 Suicide Squad is a load of crap on top of a plate of diarrhea. The best SS stuff are the early stories bu John Ostrander. The first Vol is about 70 issues long and started on 1987. I highly reccomend it, even though I've not read the entirety of it yet.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

the first two vols were actually pretty good
