Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

DiFabio did you think it had moments of inspired greatness sprinkled throughout (like BvS) or that it was at best "meh" and at worst just bad?

Is Margot at least the cool Affleck or Gadot that escapes unscathed or did you not even like her?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

So in the film, they say Harley is "crazier and more dangerous than Joker" apparently.... I'm glad it's getting bad reviews. :lol

Makes sense my man:

Gotta get that Harley moolah... Harley, for better or worse, is DC's Deadpool now. Only problem is, instead of being Kelly-Pool, Simone-Pool, Nicieza-Pool or Duggan/Posehn-Pool, she's just Way-Pool. Sure, Deadpool begun as a mixing pot, but ultimately became a great character. Harley begun as an interesting OC, but now she's... yeah... She's Angela without Gillen or Gaiman. She's "Strong (but crazy) womyn" Captain Marvel. She's lost her charm...

So this started at 37% and is already down to 33%. What was the highest that BvS ever got? Anyone remember?

About the same, I think.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

All I know is that Ayer and the cast look like idiots now after talking all that method acting, weird on set behavior by Ayer and Leto as well as all the weird stuff Ayer did to the cast to get them ready for this groundbreaking piece of cinema. :dunno

And of course Ayers publicly screaming "F Marvel!" that he had to apologize for. Add that to Snyder's Marvel trash talking and you've got guys with big mouths and piss poor product. Embarrassing for DC.

Like I said how many months back, BvS was/is way better, and you know how I felt about that. That should tell you all you need to know.

Ditto. Even if the film turns out to be alright, this whole campaign and ad campaign was just cringeworthy. It's funny though. Smith is dissing Leto, Leto says most of the Joker stuff were hoaxes, Ayer is acting like he's a damn civil rights activist in a warzone. ****'s funny to watch go down.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Oh crap!

I was hoping this was going to turn DC movies around!

The vibe I get from the rest of DC trailers is that it looks boring.

First half an hour is great, then nothing happens for an hour, then the last half an hour is great. That's my predictions for these films.:thud:

"Way better." :lol I'm only laughing not because that's an absurd claim but only BECAUSE I know how much you hated BvS. I mean BvS was pretty much ripped apart as being the worst thing ever and for it to still be "way better" than SS. Damn. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Poor DC can't catch a break.

The best thing that came from their live action stuff this year is Tyler Hoechlin's super ass. :lol

Smith is dissing Leto? What did he say?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I think one reviewer posted a while back that up to now Twilight was the only other series that had utterly awful reviews for every single entry in the franchise but at least they still made massive profits compared to their respective budgets.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Someone should check Will Smith's performance in this after he boycotted the Oscars. Um roles like this don't get nominations Will. He got no room bagging on Leto.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

damn it... even though I was told it would suck I was hoping there were changes and the theatrical version would be well received

oh well, I will most likely skip all the merch and save money if i don't end up enjoying the film so I guess that's good news for my wallet :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Still have hope for that Batfleck solo movie?

If they scarp everything in the DC movies and start again. Then yes!

This reminds me of that Wolverine movie, how they carried on like it never happened. This is what DC need to do know.

Start again!

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

If JL is received the same as BvS, The Batfleck solo movie will never see the light of day.

It's Affleck though, life will find a way. Plus his Batman shouldn't need a JL sized budget either - just keep it grounded and gritty, no big monster CGI scenes needed.

I dunno, that's up in the air. I'd have to see the script or the premise (then again, the premise for Batman vs. Superman and Suicide Squad were great so who knows.

Affleck hasn't made a bad film yet. I've enjoyed every film that he's either written, made or directed. Ironically, what everyone assumed would be the worst thing about the DC/WB film universe is the best and kinda the only gem these movies have going for it. Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne.

If the rumors of the solo Batman movie being a pure Batman film that happens before BvS without any connections to MoS, BvS, Suicide Squad, Justice League, etc. then I'd have high hopes for it. If it's "Affleck's Batman" and the Arkham Asylum centric story is true, I'd have hopes for it, yes. Time will tell.

Fingers crossed...

Is he locked in for it then?
