Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Some, but no movie stuff, Shazam and Darkseid, Maaaaaybe Black Adam and Classic Punisher.

The only movie designs I can say I love are both Ant-Man designs, and I'm seriously considering getting either the Marvel Select or the figuarts.

You getting anything? And are there any movie designs you like enough to buy?

My plan was to get Purple coat Joker by HT and the Mafex version. Not anymore. I WAS getting the SH Figuarts Harley. And I was getting the Mafex BvS Batman, armor Bats, and WW, but the final product doesn't look great, imo. I need to see more reviews.

So right now, the only movie figure I have on PO, is the SH Figuarts Mark 3 Iron Man.

As far as Mezco goes, classic Punisher with the white gloves and boots looks amazing. I might get it if they make a classic Spider-Man.

I'm not really interested in any of the DC Mezco figures, unless they make TDKR Sups and Joker.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I think it's kind of sad what's going on right now with all these conspiracy review stuff. Nobody is being paid off. Rotten Tomatoes shouldn't be shut down. Maybe these DC movies(so far) just aren't very good? I've loved Marvel and DC my whole life. Both are virtually the same to me. So far, though, only Man of Steel has been decent. I'm not saying Batman V Superman is the worst movie ever or anything but if you put aside blind love for the properties, it has a lot of problems. You can still enjoy it despite those issues but it's not a "good" movie. I haven't seen Suicide Squad yet but I'm hoping I like it and if I don't, no biggie. I didn't think Iron Man 2 was great at all and I think the first Iron Man is overated. I'm one of the few people in the world that thinks Spider-man 2 is simply...good and nothing amazing(I know it's not a marvel studios film but it bears mentioning before someone calls me a blind marvel zombie). The fact of the matter is though that on the whole, the marvel films are, so far, better. There's only 3 DC films so far and like 13 marvel. This could be a totally different discussion in 2 years time. But I think all this conspiracy garbage is just that , garbage. Critics are doing what they always do and judge the quality of the film along with of their own quirks that put things ahead or behind some other stuff. But I don't think most of these critics are out to destroy the DC film franchise.

wow... he loves everything and almost never hates anything
damn

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Speaking of which, that scene in the trailer, of joker in a tuxedo with the burned face and the grenade in his mouth...not in the film.

In fact that scene of joker in bed with a cellphone, not in the movie. Same goes for the suitcase scene from the behind the scenes footage. And there's more :dunno

Guess we'll have to wait to see the complete version of the movie in the form of another "Ultimate Edition". :lol

I agree that the DC movies so far haven't been very good, and I don't think Marvel is paying off anyone but I think, because they're mostly family fun films that don't really try to be more than anything but entertaining, reviewers tend to be a lot more lenient when reviewing them. A lot of actual problems with those movies are just glossed over just because the reviewer was entertained and to me that's not what the job of a critic should be. They should be noting what the movie does well and what it does bad, but MCU films aren't really reviewed like that. At least not amongst the YouTube critics.

One thing I did notice this year though, was how Spider-Man's role was praised by critics in CW even though he had no business being in that movie, meanwhile Wolverine's role in Apocalypse was criticized for being shoehorned in and not really making sense.

Hopefully we see the cut Joker scenes in an extended directors cut although they may have just been scrapped altogether.

not a big spoiler or anything, not a spoiler on the story but the coolest one is out

you never see the souls going into the sword scene

Those scenes are some of the few I was looking forward to the most. :monkey2

Still hoping they'll be included in an extended cut or something.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

one thing is to cut them but another thing is to heavily promoted deleted scenes lol, I know some other trailers have done this, but with this movie it seems that they cut the coolest scenes in the movie and then for some reason chose those cool cut scenes to market the movie,
this is crazy

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Maybe they're doing it due to the success of the BvS extended cut? :dunno
If that's the case, I really don't want to wait 5+ more months to see the full movie.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

And the average continues to drop drop drop, I wonder where it will stop stop stop. User reviews are starting to trickle in and a lot of them pretty much mirror what most critics have had to say so far.
