DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I hated this version of the Joker. I think he needed an inhaler.

I give this a 2/10

I give it a solid 7.5. Fun romp that was ridiculous but thought that added to it. Btw my Wife thinks it's her favorite movie of the past year+.

................I loved this movie, my wife LOVED this movie, hell, my 68 year old mother called and told me she liked it better than the last three Marvel films she had seen in the last couple years including Civil War.

Just saw it, though the movie is fine--it's honestly not that bad, a bit overlong in the middle and a few things here and there that don't quite work, but it's not nearly as terrible as reviewers are making it out.

I'm genuinely in the "it sucks...but likes it anyways"

Trying to play both sides now huh? pturtle's party wasn't all it was cracked up to be was it?

Is there anyone in this universe that doesn't know Batman's not-so-secret identity?

I do think that the final scene with Bruce and Waller would have been better if it took place in a dark room with him in full costume. Best final scene in a Batman movie is still Batman Begins IMO.

One of my cousins just posted on Facebook that she thought SS was okay and that her favorite characters were Harley Quinn and "Killshot." :pow

:lol

I remember a guy in my theater yelled, "NO WAY!!!" when they showed the Joker card :lol I had the same reaction...internally.

Ah, ending scenes.

Agreed, especially if she still called him Mr. Wayne. I think that would have let the audience know she knows who he is a bit clearer than they way they played it. Some were asking if she knew he was Batman or if its just his wealth and his wealthy friends he was talking about providing the protection. Plus it would have further shown Waller knows everything.

Possibly but you're forgetting those actor contract rights these days where they have to show their face as much as possible. I'm just glad we haven't seen Batman in costume with a photoshopped Affleck head on like we see with other superheroes.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

My sister saw this last night and she said she like it for the most part but she didn't like how they made the joker gay. I was like, "what are you talking about? He's not gay.". Then she argued with me for a half hour about it. I haven't seen the movie myself but according to her he acts very effeminate, showing off his jewelry, sitting on people's laps. I guess in her mind that makes him gay, lol.

I like a "gay" joker...it's very TDKReturns. Plus he makes people uneasy...unless it's James Bond from Skyfall :lol

Yeah I took the Joker as straight but with effeminate quirks as part of the mind games he was constantly playing with people.

Yeah but I agree with Prince, effeminate Joker is pretty cool.

My biggest wish is that in the Batman movie when batman and Joker meet, I really wish that joker will come close to batman and batman thinks that joker is going to hurt him but then Joker will kiss batman Right in the mouth!
YES, thats right, My biggest wish is for Joker to kiss batman on the lips as a joke. the kiss lasts a couple of seconds while batman is confused as hell before pushing joker away, Joker will say something like "Now that was DELICIOUS!" or he will say "HONKA HONKA" again. batman still has red lipstick on his lips until joker mocks him for having lipstick and then batman cleans it away.

I hope Leto brings this up for the next movie. it would be crazy, it would be funny, it would be awesome

I think SSF has been invaded by the POST FOR PAY groups trying hard to spin this average film.......

Lots of "newish" folks around here seem to love to praise this movie....

:lol:lol that is a sweet gig, Disney still sends me a couple of cents to this day :rotfl

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

The RedLetterMedia review for Suicide Squad was pretty funny. They did miss something in a certain scene which caused them to talk about how a plot point didn't make sense, but that's a minor critique. Love Jay and Mike's thoughts on the film, even though I still enjoyed this movie immensely. But you watch RLM to see how much they can pick apart.

Also at the VERY end of the Suicide Squad review...they tease that they will be putting out a review for Stranger Things soon!!!

Red Letter Media does NOT Always pick apart movies ... if they love it they will tell you they love it and they will tell you why it was good. They dont ALWAYS attack things just for attacking it.

They tend to share their most honest opinions on half in the Bag...

saying you watch it just to see them rip things apart, thats just a cop out for this review. they have loved movies they are reviewing and they praise them and they praise plot or acting and stuff.

the stuff they are "ripping apart" about this movie is stuff a lot of other people have complained about. how can it be "Ripping apart" when these are things a lot of other critics have complained about as well.

other people have compared this to Fantastic Four's studio meddling, weird editing and having deleted scenes in the trailers.... thats nothing new that RLM is saying.

im just saying, red letter media DOES rip movies apart on their "Best of the Worst" reviews but not with Half in the Bag.
