Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

:rotfl:rotfl HAHA :lol

thats not the kind of reaction that was supposed to be for this joker :lol

Is Jared Leto a ham actor, or did he make a special exception for Suicide Squad?

Let's throw in every villainous cliché there is...

I started watching it this morning, but gave up for now.

he is usually really good, this might be his first bad performance (I know some people love this joker) But as far as Leto acting goes, he's never this cheesy.
None of his other roles required him to be a crazy killer clown, but, yeah this is definitely out of the left field for him. I still havent seen the movie but i thought he would do better.

The film is confirming my suspicions. And that's why I only went for the HT Arkham version of him, because as a frozen moment that's how I like the idea of a Joker imposter. In that moment he looks like he could've been the real thing.

When it comes to over acting, Romero is still the stuff of nightmares by keeping it more simple. You just don't have to stray too far from the image of a mad clown.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Editing was a mess. :lol So much stuff in the trailers that didn't show up in the movie. :lol

But I liked it.

Will Smith. Just like Affleck and Gadot, the Fresh Prince was bashed non-stop, but turned out to be pretty damn good.

Killer Croc was awesome. Where the fauk is his Hot Toys????

Harley was good. Voice could have had a bit more New York in it, but it worked.

And I liked the Joker, what little time he was shown. I liked that he was clearly insane. Something Ledgers was not.

Boomerang. Didn't have a whole lot of screen time, but Jai Courtney finally found a role his was good in.

I dug Katana.

Diablo was kewl.

Amanda Waller was brutal. Perfect!

Enchantress was nice. Dispatched a little to easy.

Slipknot, knew his ass was going to be the first one dispatched. :lol

Flag was serviceable.

Scott Eastwood turned out to be soldier extra. :dunno

7.5/10

Bring on WW.

I really enjoyed Boomerang character. Would like to see more of him.

Seeing the film for the 4th time tomorrow. It's weird that the movie seems to get better and better the more I watch it. Not many movies have that effect.

Yep, the second time was even better for me. Looking forward to my third viewing.
I absolutely loved it. By far my favorite DC movie in at least a decade. The movie moved quickly and was like a non stop roller coaster ride. To me it definitely didn't feel like it lagged like a Snyder or Nolan DC movie. I'm giving it a 9/10.
SNYDER is DC biggest enemy not ROTTEN TOMATOES!:lol

................I loved this movie, my wife LOVED this movie, hell, my 68 year old mother called and told me she liked it better than the last three Marvel films she had seen in the last couple years including Civil War.

I think people who don't think they are a movie director, will look pass the bad editing and enjoy this film for what it is.

I didn't think this would attract mothers, parents and grandparents, but this film seems to be for all.

Watching the Harley/Joker Arkham scene again, the first time the Joker starts to laugh after asking for a machine gun, an image shot into my head.

An image of Frank Spencer.

Maybe, every day, in every way, this Joker will get better and better?

Do you think a 100 times will be enough to like the Letoker?

It's got to hurt before it gets better, right?

Harley's cool. She makes a better Joker.

You can hear people laughing when

Batman punches her under water.

:lol

you made me realize, the joker should have been a woman this time around. Margot should have been the new joker, come on, it's 2016 already

That would have been a fresh twust on things.

Harley looks to be crazy popular with the young female audience in the cinema. She will have a cult following.

It's in hand...

"Wanna see my gashes?"

Though I'm pretty sure this is Duela Dent.

Oh, and one more thing.

With the introduction of Killer Croc there's a neon sign with a blinking skull.

Now this seemed to me to be a pulp film noir homage to the 1947 film, DickTracy’s Dilemma, where he faced off against the Claw, a slow, lumbering, club-footed, hook-handed villain.

That might help to understand where this Joker was coming from as well. A film noir mobster with a pulp twist.

But the film is a mash-up of so many influences.

Female Ghostbusters and a female Joker in the same year would have broke and ended the internet once and for all.

Ok. So this movie isn't bad as people say. Def better than BVS for me. Still not feeling the joker, somtimes his voice was weird and you can tell they cut alot of stuff out. I like Harley and deadshot and waller. Still can't wait to see what the DC universe brings us. I just think they need to do somthing else with the joker. Harley isn't suppose to be crazier than joker and the Joker isn't supposed to be head over heals for harley like that.

Plus make Killer croc bigger. Why is he the size of the average human. Should of been almost hulk size. Also would of been cool to have more villains from the comic but whatever.
That slipknot guy got the shaft bad. It was a fun movie but yea it wasn't that damn great.

The film gets better as it settles in, especially on the journey into the city.

There's too much of the Joker. It feels like extraneous fan service. A few Harley memories at opportune moments would've been enough without

The Joker appearing in a helicopter in the middle of the mission to whisk Harely away.

Harley is the glowing light at the centre of the film. Without her this would've gone straight to video. She garnered most of the laughs, though Croc got a few.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Yea harley is a great addition and I hope they do more with her. I just wish we had more focus on how she became harley. The witch and rick flag crap bored me.

The whole film was a bit Suicide Squad: A Love Story.

Rick and June.

Harley and the Joker.

Floyd and his daughter.

Diablo and his lost family.

Katana and her lost husband.

Croc and Waller.

And as for Harley and Joker, it was significant when

she took off her Puddin' collar when she thought he was dead. Like a dog with no owner - she was free. See, I knew she couldn't have really fallen for that freak. :wink1: She was under his spell.

But dogs aren't happy without owners or a pack leader. So she longs for a normal life with a normal Joker.
