Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Wait, so because he found out Superman existed he started killing? I thought it was because of Robin's death. Do we know he wasn't killing before Superman/Zod incident because that's a terrible motivation to start killing :lol

Well, I don't want to start making up stuff in order to make sense of it, but Alfred shows the newspaper to Bruce, which talks about Batman's new "methods" of dealing with crime, and then he talks about the feeling of powerlessness and how everything changed once Superman arrived. There is also that shot of Bruce looking at dead Robin, so my guess is that it's the sum of all those moments that pushes Bruce to be more ruthless. Since the Joker is still alive, I can only assume that he didn't kill him because he probably wasn't a killer yet...and it probably took a lot out of him not to murder Joker...then Sups shows up later...more people die...and he's like **** it.

That or he doesn't kill Joker because...

We're all getting so hyped for Affleck's solo outing, but watch it be a post Suicide Squad/Justice League movie where he teams up with Will Smith or some ****. :lol

I got my fingers crossed for an Arkham Asylum adaptation (based on the graphic novel, the Batman: Animated Series episode "Trial", the first Arkham game, etc.) Not only could you do some cool stuff with Batman and the Joker, but other villains and how they relate to other faucets of Batman's psychology as well (Two-Face, Mad Hatter, Clayface). All that in one, claustrophobic setting would be awesome.

Still, I fully expect some post Justice League thing where Batman and Deadshot team up to fight CGI monsters or aliens or something. Instead of getting an emotional climax, where, I don't know, the audience finds out that Two-Face saved Batman's life in the Asylum by not following the coin's result, we'll have a bunch characters trying to stop a bomb or a magical beam of light from destroying a city. We could use another villain like Doomsday or Enchantress' "brother" though, so hopefully a resurrection is in order.

Don't give them ideas.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

We see Harleen Interviewing Joker (not Harely yet)

She's already fallen for Joker ( will do anything for him, I need a machine gun)

Joker has the tattoo and the grill.

Yet, when we see HQ for the first time, it says accomplice in robins murder.

Here's in my mind how the events went down.

- This is the second time Harleen has helped mista J escape, we didn't see the first.

- The AA scene takes place after his first escape.

- She helped him break out the first time (pre grill) but got away with it, this is when Joker killed robin.

- On his second stint, (the one we've seen) he's back and asks for more favors "I need a machine gun"

- However, this time Joker didn't let Harley get away with it scott free, and becomes HQ.

- She "owns that ****" as Harley Quinn and is glad to say she helped Joker escape to kill Robin.

Too add a bit more to this.

-Harleen is already calling Joker "Mistah J" which reinforces their previous relationship in Arkham. "You gonna kill me mista J?" this also shows that the first scene with the two is most definitely not their first time meeting.

- The first time we see Harleen and Joker together in AA, Joker smiles and shows off his new grill after asking for a machine gun.

- "Dr. Qweeeenzell, what did you bring me this time"? - She's given Joker favors or special treatment before. apparently without notice, or she would have been resigned to a different patient. Hell, he could have even asked Harleen to just escape for a night so he can give bats a "present".

- She helps Joker kill Robin before she's HQ by aiding him in his escape.

- She can handle Joker's torture and even acts as if she wants more.

Ah okay, so it's a lose lose situation :lol

Either answer is pretty terrible in my opinion, and because of all the complaints I'm assuming he'll stop the killing from Justice League on.

Batman has jokes now...it's his new method against crime.

You forget Affleck is at the helm, just not starring. I have the up-most faith in him. Great director.

:lol :lol

People are acting as if this is the first time a movie has been manipulated by the official director, official editor, silent director, silent editor, writers, producers and studio execs. :lol

The movie for me was seamless, nothing stuck out in a "AHA, GOTCHYA" moment where the plot or tone suddenly hit a wall and turned into a different movie.

:goodpost::lecture

It's not the first time, it's just shocking that people are okay with that how bad the final product turned out and of course this is the SS thread.

Final product turned out awesome. bad is a matter of opinion just like awesome.

That's true, I'm just still a bit in shock that that seems to be the consensus in this thread. I do hope this makes a ton of money though, I want more Willshot, and hopefully Croc and Boomerang can be fleshed out and explored more. I also think Margot Robbie can give us a great performance with a better script. Suicide Squad has massive potential.

A lot of people enjoyed this movie. It's not like BvS where a lover was outnumbered 100/1. This movie is 60/40 to the lovers.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

There's another way they could make sense of Batman not killing Joker, and that's if Batman is somehow responsible for the creation of Joker, the redhood gang storyline. If Batman feels somehow responsible for what happened to Joker, he might actually feel sorry for him, thus why he tolerates him and doesn't kill him...but again, that's just made up crap. I'll let Affleck make sense of it.

Imagine finally getting a scene where Batman has to put down his own creation. No last minute grapple to the foot nonsense.

Something like the Killing Joke where Batman plays one last game with the Joker, but instead of an ambiguous ending, Batman just ends him.

Best DC movie since TDK.

I hate TDKR, Man of Steel and BvS, but they're better movies than Suicide Squad.

What did Khev give you Jye? Was it more than what he paid for Force Awakens you whore?

Yeah, I'd like to see that eventually. Not sure I want to see it as the first Batman and Joker film though. I'd like to see joker live past one film for once :lol
