Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Man I was really expecting a FF4 level of disaster going into this, pturtle had scared me.

This movie is in a whole different universe than FF4.

This movie is does NOT belong in the Catwoman, Elektra, GR2, Superman 3/4, Batman and Robin, FF4 group!

You're insane :lol

Jye you just said you didn't notice any of the problems because it was fun, maybe on you're 5th viewing when it's stops being fun you'll notice all the problems the movie has.

Cmon man, these guys would like this movie if the beginning, middle and end we're just the credits :lol

Joker has a grill throughout the movie, even in flashbacks before Harley becomes crazy.

I've never seen this level of fanboyism. It's one thing to love the film...but come on. Clearly the director's idea doesn't even fit with the film he made. Why even try to defend it? :dunno

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

oh yeah. :lol

I think it's just ayer explaining why he decided to take a left turn with the design, people are looking into it too much.

That's the problem with a share universe. Snyder introduced the whole dead Robin thing as fan service...and now SS has to make sense of it some how. And Affleck's Batman film will need to make sense of whatever Snyder and Ayer did with those characters.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Ayer said the grill was as a result of dead Robin. Joker already has the grill when he meets Harley according to the film.

We do. Harley met Joker in Arkham...and he already had the metal teeth....it's in the film.

Now you are just making things up that deviates from what's in the actual film.

I don't think you understand me. Yes, I know he has the grill, and I'm not arguing that. What I am saying is, the word accomplice is vague. We do not know in what caliber she was involved in the death. By your logic, which is pretty spot on, she could not have been involved in a physical capacity as she wasn't Quinn yet.

However, that intro gives NO indication whatsoever as to how long they have been seeing each other. We also do not know how long he had been at the asylum.

The one scene we get where they are in the dark, we do not know if he had the grill yet. To me, the purpose of that final cut, we see how Joker had manipulated Harley the whole time.

I'm not deviating anything, as there is plenty that has not been answered, that are very relevant to this. Could Ayer have just ****ed that up and same with the cut showing it that way, sure. But nothing has been answered either.

DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Let's not forget, based on Ayer's comments it's a bit ridiculous that Batman brought him to Arkham instead of killing him.

That's what I've been saying, just because you like something doesn't mean it's good :lol

This movie is a mess in its own, and a bigger mess when you consider its place in the Snyder-verse.

They need to go Fox and just ignore the continuity issues now if they plan on sticking with this universe and just focus on making good movies.

But Batlfeck doesn't kill.......

Wait a minute, he didn't kill anyone in BvS? I could have sworn he murdered a few people in that movie :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I was having so much fun watching the movie but I also was kind of braced for the other shoe to drop. None of the trailers I'd seen had even a millisecond of the final battle and I was getting worried that after fighting their way through the city that they'd have some two second fight with the main bad guy and the movie would be over. I was very entertained by the surprise Gozer fight at the end. Didn't feel anticlimactic at all to me.

Yup, I actually liked how it was handled.

Of course Enchantress used H2H, all powerful people are arrogant and get cocky and make mistakes.

If they didn't then Hitler would've won, we wouldn't have had Vietnam and Bernie Madoff wouldn't be in jail.

She ended up being a much better villain than the disaster I was expecting of her.

Superman's death didn't move me whatsoever.

This movie stirred my emotions and pulled on my heart strings very deeply.

You're insane :lol

OH MY GOD :lol

It doesn't matter how long they have been seeing each other. The film clearly says she met him in Arkham...and he doesn't escape from Arkham until she helps him escape according to the film...and the first thing he does as a "free" man is to torture Harley.

It's not like he escaped from Arkham a bunch of times before that while he was in therapy with Harley. :lol

We see Harleen Interviewing Joker (not Harely yet)

She's already fallen for Joker ( will do anything for him, I need a machine gun)

Joker has the tattoo and the grill.

Yet, when we see HQ for the first time, it says accomplice in robins murder.

Here's in my mind how the events went down.

- This is the second time Harleen has helped mista J escape, we didn't see the first.

- The AA scene takes place after his first escape.

- She helped him break out the first time (pre grill) but got away with it, this is when Joker killed robin.

- On his second stint, (the one we've seen) he's back and asks for more favors "I need a machine gun"

- However, this time Joker didn't let Harley get away with it scott free, and becomes HQ.

- She "owns that ****" as Harley Quinn and is glad to say she helped Joker escape to kill Robin.

I could get behind that :clap

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

come on how can anyone even compare this to fantastic four, that movie was a complete bore. And this is a b movie shoot em up, put your magnifying glasses away. I also loved the villain and the big epic showdown, I don't think it was out of the suicidesquads league at all. The complaints I do see being valid is the undeveloped explaining of the brother and the machine. But the enchantress and her bro were a kick ass physical threat to mess with and watch. The sword fight was awesome and el diablo vs incubus was awesome. SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET SOME REPLICAS OF DEADSHOT AND HARLEYS GUNS. I'm planning on seeing it again an surprisingly really want to see it in imax 3d again because it impressed me that much.

one last thing, after seeing it again: Harley on the car and pressing normal on the washing machine are a couple of the most touching scenes ive seen in a supehero movie.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Ok, thanks for bringing up Diablo's final form.

That is the ONLY thing I didn't like, he didn't look too menacing.

Is he like that in the comics?
