Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I can't even get myself to wach Deadpool again, but this one...I can't wait to go with the wife next! :yess:

jyequinn4ever at your service! :lol

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I would probably watch it more than Deadpool as well, but in no way do I think this is a better movie :lol

Yeah but they were all bad.

I guess Joker isn't so bad then? :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

We see Harleen Interviewing Joker (not Harely yet)

She's already fallen for Joker ( will do anything for him, I need a machine gun)

Joker has the tattoo and the grill.

Yet, when we see HQ for the first time, it says accomplice in robins murder.

Here's in my mind how the events went down.

- This is the second time Harleen has helped mista J escape, we didn't see the first.

- The AA scene takes place after his first escape.

- She helped him break out the first time (pre grill) but got away with it, this is when Joker killed robin.

- On his second stint, (the one we've seen) he's back and asks for more favors "I need a machine gun"

- However, this time Joker didn't let Harley get away with it scott free, and becomes HQ.

- She "owns that ****" as Harley Quinn and is glad to say she helped Joker escape to kill Robin.

That could work...but it's basically you doing Ayer's job. Because the film doesn't show any of that. It's not even implied either...and they could have said Harley helped Joker escape in multiple occasions. That's what Affleck could do to make sense of it if he wishes to use Joker or tell the death of Robin story.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Tell that to the guys in the Batmobile chase, or crate guy, or knife guy.

Or Zod's snapped neck.
Yeah, let's say the crate guy survived, and some of the chase guys actually show up in the warehouse fight later.

But I don't see how the dudes in the SUV he shot and then rammed through could've survived, or the guys in the SUVs he mowed down with the Batwing.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

People died by proxy of his action. Not murdering. He isn't Keaton.

You gotta be kidding me :lol

I just watched the Warehouse scene and he straight up murdered at least 5 people in that scene.

Haha yeah! And it was awesome! :rock :lol

It was :lol

I'm a fan of killing Batman, but it just doesn't make sense for him to bring Joker to Arkham and kill less threats on the street.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I could get behind that :clap

Joker even says something like " I'll tell my guys not to harm you" which is probably the same thing he told her last time, except this time he decided to celebrate with a little torture.

it would make her an accomplice, and it might be something WB is saving for later. Especially if Batfleck's film is just gonna focus on Jokers/Batman's relationship, and be a prequel to BvS.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

It would've taken a lot more effort on my part to hate this movie than it did to really enjoy the heck out of it.

I say that Ayer/WB delivered a very entertaining final product out of their 150 different versions.

Batman wasn't always a killer in the Snyderverse. He only started killing after Superman shows up, hence the whole Alfred speech about good men turning "cruel."

So maybe the Robin death predates Superman's arrival and that's why he didn't kill Joker.

Wait, so because he found out Superman existed he started killing? I thought it was because of Robin's death. Do we know he wasn't killing before Superman/Zod incident because that's a terrible motivation to start killing :lol

:lecture:lecture:exactly:

He straight up murdered those people. Not that they didn't deserve it, but it's undeniable.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

We're all getting so hyped for Affleck's solo outing, but watch it be a post Suicide Squad/Justice League movie where he teams up with Will Smith or some ****. :lol

I got my fingers crossed for an Arkham Asylum adaptation (based on the graphic novel, the Batman: Animated Series episode "Trial", the first Arkham game, etc.) Not only could you do some cool stuff with Batman and the Joker, but other villains and how they relate to other faucets of Batman's psychology as well (Two-Face, Mad Hatter, Clayface). All that in one, claustrophobic setting would be awesome.

Still, I fully expect some post Justice League thing where Batman and Deadshot team up to fight CGI monsters or aliens or something. Instead of getting an emotional climax, where, I don't know, the audience finds out that Two-Face saved Batman's life in the Asylum by not following the coin's result, we'll have a bunch characters trying to stop a bomb or a magical beam of light from destroying a city. We could use another villain like Doomsday or Enchantress' "brother" though, so hopefully a resurrection is in order.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Everyone has confirmed that a lot got cut. :lol

:lol :lol

People are acting as if this is the first time a movie has been manipulated by the official director, official editor, silent director, silent editor, writers, producers and studio execs. :lol

The movie for me was seamless, nothing stuck out in a "AHA, GOTCHYA" moment where the plot or tone suddenly hit a wall and turned into a different movie.

It's not the first time, it's just shocking that people are okay with that how bad the final product turned out and of course this is the SS thread.
