Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Batman meets Columbo, what a great idea.

I know, right? It's just sad to me that none of them have recognized it.:lol

I give that pee jar alone a 9.0. :rock

I'll say this. I respect Luthor as a villain wayyy more than Letoker. He was more ruthless and more Joker like than Leto. Luthor killed Mercy...which is the "Harley Queen" of Superman the Animated series. Letoker is a total wimp :(

I also find the SS asian girl to be much hotter than that anorexic Wolverine/Luthor sidekick chick. :lol

SS 8.8 (depending on next viewing this could hit a solid 9.0 if those scenes move me again but also drop to 8.5 if they don't, but I don't see it going any lower than 8.5, the movie is just too much fun for that to happen)
)

:rock right up there with my score!

So, how many SS HT figures did you PO in the last 2 hours? :lol

Am I wrong to just want a straight-up, no holds barred detective story? That's an aspect of Batman's character that's remained largely unexplored on the silver screen, and, I feel like that would be right in Affleck's wheelhouse. You want massive action set pieces where Batman kicks some ass? He'll be in Justice League 2, next summer. You want to see the World's Greatest Detective, in his element, in a street level, personal story where he shows why they call him that? See the Batman solo film.

Not at all, and I think that's what most people are expecting. We get batman at big scales in this U. Reign it back and focus on the character.

I give that pee jar alone a 9.0. :rock

I went into this movie knowing EVERYTHING!

The dual movie being mushed together (everyone trying to make it a controversy when it's really just how all movies are made...ALL MOVIES!)

The deaths.

The cameos.

The length of screen time for Batman and Joker.

The music.

The villain.

The beginning.

The middle.

The ending.

The mid credits scene.

I KNEW EVERYTHING!

YET IT STILL KICKED ALL KINDS OF ASS!

THIS MOVIE HAD EMOTION!

THIS MOVIE HAD FUN!!

THIS MOVIE HAD A HEART!!!

I actually teared up in this movie, not once, not twice, but three freaking times, that's a record for me!

I kid you not, I really did...for obviously personal reasons, but it happened, I never know when something is going to affect me, and boy did it!

DEFINATELY OVERALL BETTER THAN BVS even with it missing a warehouse/WW arrival type scene.

The real kicker is that I was NOT able to pick out the supposedly messy editing from the studio interference, IT WAS NOT NOT NOT noticeable to me...

BECAUSE I WAS ENJOYING MYSELF TOO FREAKING MUCH!

Man did Viola, Robbie and Will kick ass in this movie!

Oh, one more thing...I LOVED THE JOKER, I WANT MORE OF HIM!

Can't argue at all.... I never shed tears but the film had a heart... Was it perfect? Hell no! Was it a good time at the movies and DC's best... Yep! Was it the best comic film of the year... Nope... 2nd best :)

You're insane :lol

Jye you just said you didn't notice any of the problems because it was fun, maybe on you're 5th viewing when it's stops being fun you'll notice all the problems the movie has.

The film had issues for sure but this is not F4, Batman and Robin, Catwoman etc.. bad... Not even close. Even if you hate the story the characters were good and the film well acted. I won't argue that the idea behind putting this team was dumb and full of logic holes but I did not care. Film was a solid 8 out of 10 for me. It delivered better then MOS and BvS easily.

Yup, I actually liked how it was handled.

Of course Enchantress used H2H, all powerful people are arrogant and get cocky and make mistakes.

If they didn't then Hitler would've won, we wouldn't have had Vietnam and Bernie Madoff wouldn't be in jail.

She ended up being a much better villain than the disaster I was expecting of her.

Superman's death didn't move me whatsoever.

This movie stirred my emotions and pulled on my heart strings very deeply.

I can't even get myself to wach Deadpool again, but this one...I can't wait to go with the wife next! :yess:

jyequinn4ever at your service! :lol

I did not mind the villain until the final 10 min of the film... But I hate the actress... I have no idea what she was doing with those convulsions she was having.. Just goofy. But everything before that was fine... I love Marvel movies so I am use to underwhelming villains. :)

I enjoyed Deadpool but I liked this more and think it be much more enjoyable with repeat viewings. Deadpool really dropped the 2nd time I watched it.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

If not for his forehead piece I thought her brother had a cool Thor 1 Destroyer like design going on.

But Diablo's final form was really the only thing that I didn't like in this movie.

Here I figured it would've been Enchantress or her brother and it ended up being Diablo's final form, go figure.

I loved Katana, then again I love anything Japanese Samurai related.

If the film has issues (far more than just the story) why can't it be on par with those movies I listed? Because you found it more entertaining shouldn't excuse the story, editing, plot holes etc...

This movie probably has more problems than Catwoman if we actually broke it down. I liked WillShot and Harley at times but can you really say Captain Boomerang, Croc, Rick Flagg, Katana, Joker, Slipknot, and Enchantress were good characters? They barely had anything to do and weren't fleshed out whatsoever, some of them had zero back stories and no reason to be on the team at all. Not sure about the well acted part either but that's really subjective, I can see it delivering more of a good time if you overlook all of its problems but MOS is really a masterpiece compared to this in almost every way :lol

I haven't seen Catwoman in years and I do consider that my number one worst superhero movie of all time but at least the movie is structurally sound :lol
